September has been packed full of adventure, new experiences, dancing, water activities and epic people!

I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve had to miss events because of money or work schedule restraints.

I feel so blessed that I got to go to! The American White Water association puts together a Gauley Fest every year! This year we celebrated the 40th anniversary! It’s amazing to see people and boaters from all around the world!

American White Water is responsible for removing many damns positively impacting the environment and ecosystems. Many boaters are also grateful for recovered rapid passage ways to ride! 🌊 It is such a unique group of vibrant cultured individuals! I’m excited to share more!

Personally I love this sweater any time, but it also worked out perfectly for 80’s night. Can you guess what I was called all night because of this sweater? Haha I never thought to name the look but I’ll role with it. It’s a cozy sweater and I loved rocking it regardless.

September was a big month for me! I’m excited to share it with you all!
I got to take on many firsts!
This season marks the 10th year I’ve been a white water raft guide! It’s crazy to think i hadn’t been in a shredder before until this month! (Yes the photos are of me in a shredder, not a raft) 🙃

I got to go on the Lower Youghiogheny River with an epic group of people! Most of them were Kayakers and I got to see 3 other shredders just like this one and one other star! Love how friendly this community is! So yes, it’s the first I’ve been in a shredder and I got to S1! 🙌🏼

I was a bit concerned at first because I’m out of shape, it has been a long minute since I’ve even R1ed, the paddle I was using is shorter than my preferred 63inch Werner firestick, and the shredders sit muchhh higher than a raft! The reach to the water was interesting and I knew if I fell out, well, I wasn’t confident I would be able to get back in on my own lol

Nonetheless, I am happy to report that I stuck the landing on it all! No swims from this girl! 💃🏼

There were two points that will add to some fun stories around a bonfire sometime but it was all fun! I was still trying to get a feel for it and get my grove in these pics but it was butter in this rapid! This rapid was the one that told me, “yeahhhh I got this trip.” This trip was the first time I’ve ever taken on the low yo solo too. With all of these first mentioned… you can imagine my excitement with how the day went! I’m super stoked!

Special thanks to the crew I went with and extra special thanks to Preston for making the day happen! I’m totally ganna want to do this again soon! One step closer to reaching my other goals as a S1 or R1 guide 🤙🏼 definitely one for the books!

How do I even begin to express my gratitude to be blessed with such a woman as my mom?! He passions, love, compassion, and support throughout the seasons of life…
Her fierceness for her family lights a fire of inspiration hard to match! I’ve always described my mom as a Wonder Woman because it truly is a wonder how she does so much for so many people! I never understood how she finds the time and organization and grace to live out all the hats she wears. Her zest, passion, and love for life is so contagious. The way she will go to battle for her family and people she cares about. I can’t keep using the word inspiring. I adore her so much and so blessed and thankful. Pardon my lack of eloquent wording. If you’ve been lucky enough to have her blessed into your life, I’m sure you’d understand why I’m so tongue tied. I love you with all my heart momma. Thanks so much for being this massive example to live with a massive heart! You are so incredibly strong and I don’t know where I’d be today if I didn’t have such an incredible woman supporting me and picking me up through the years! Happy Mothers Day! 😘😘😘

You never realize how little time you have until the time with someone is lost forever. We were 6 months apart in age and I’m the one that got to celebrate my 30th birthday 💔. I would have never thought that would be the case.

You lived vibrantly and enthusiastically making time to make memories with friends, family, and anyone else who was interested in joining in along the way! You were quick to pay if someone couldn’t afford it because you understood the importance of living in the moment and making memories that last a lifetime. You knew that you weren’t taking 💰 with you. You poured your heart into everything you did and everyone you met.

You always believed in me and saw my potential. Your loss was an eye-opener to how little “survival mode” was serving me. You lived to make memories, and connections, and to love others. You were the person I wanted to talk to when I went into business for myself.

It has been over a year now since you passed, but earlier this week I finally hit a milestone in my grief. I visited your grave.

Last year I tubed antietam creek; it was something we always said we would do. I just didn’t realize I would lose the chance or time to do that with you. I did it surrounded by friends which is soooooo what you would have wanted.

This last week, I had a friend that hiked up to Jefferson Rock with me. She was patient with me in my tears when I told her I had to see you… I haven’t been to your grave because it just felt so final to say goodbye. I’m grateful that I didn’t have to do this alone. She didn’t know you, but it felt so natural to introduce you to her. You were always so open to meeting new people, especially from the rafting community. Thank you for supporting me and touching base no matter the seasons of life we were in. I wish you could see the growth steps taken this past year. Again, you were the one I wanted to talk to when I went into business for myself. I know you’d be cheering me on.

It was good talking to you and seeing your resting place. I truly can’t imagine a better resting place for you. Love always 💖😭😘 Chase Higgins

What did you first see when you saw this picture?

I took this photo hoping to capture the rays of sunshine. It always touches a special part in my heart when I see rays of light streaking through the sky. It always makes me feel like God is reaching down… beaming with his fatherly love. 😊

It wasn’t until I went to post the photo just now that I see almost an emoji face in the clouds with the sun beaming through the eyes and mouth giving light to a smile in the clouds! Do you see it too? 🤩

Wow this is so powerful! Actions have consequences. We often go through life blind of many perspectives. We can’t know the whole story. It is not what we are gifted. However, our intuition can speak very loudly. If your gut is telling you to ask questions or spend more time on something that doesn’t make logical sense… it may be the spirit calling you to do something for the greater and grand picture. When you can, always choose to give and support others well-being without any expectation of getting anything in return. The “extra mile” that you give often times is not a hinderance to your life in comparison to the massive blessings in others lives. When you answer the call… you will be rewarded greatly. I truly believe the spirit was watching over souls during a time and routine that was seemingly normal at the time, but the consequences of actions in the moment made an impact on many lives. I love how she highlighted the rules she decided to break while treating carefully in her intuition… she didn’t blindly disobey. She proceeded with caution while taking notes of her surroundings and safety. These are healthy boundaries. While staying attentive to those necessities, life saving discoveries were made.

Wow 😱 I have goosebumps. I am so grateful for this movie and the Series “The Chosen” absolutely LIFE CHANGING! this background gave more depth too. Wow just wowww

I believe in spiritual warfare. I have experienced spiritual warfare. I have seen evidence of the spiritual realm. I haven’t seen people I don’t recognize in white, but I 100% believe these experiences. The more I learn in faith, the more I learn I don’t know and get inspired to learn more. There is so much depth and meaning and symbolisms and incredible ways our Devine creator speaks to us. I’m so full with love and I’m just grateful that I get to experience it!

Faith isn’t meant to just be learned… it is meant to be experienced! Boy did this cast truly experience walks of faith. Wow. Just wow 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
