This is what marketing can do.
It can take something that only exists in your mind—a feeling, a memory, a place, a version of yourself—and turn it into something tangible.
It can style a feeling. Build a world around a memory. Take emotion and give it a color, a texture, a setting, a story.
In a way, it creates something from nothing.
And I think that is why I have been so excited to finally showcase these images. I truly could not be more proud of how everything turned out, because what you are looking at started as nothing more than memories and emotions that lived in my head.
When I first started dreaming about this project, I knew the stories I wanted to tell. Honestly, it could have been much longer, but I ultimately chose three concepts: The Whimsical Muse, Motherhood in the Mountains, and Lakeside Lovers.
Each represents a different season of my life, and each is deeply connected to my experience growing up in Oklahoma.
How do you take a feeling from years ago and make someone else feel it?
You create a world around it.
Again, that is an emotion. You can’t hold it. You can’t sell it. You can’t put it on a rack.
But you can create something that makes another person feel it.
And to me, that is where marketing becomes art.
We took memories, emotions, relationships, places and versions of myself that no longer physically exist in the way they once did, and we gave them a visual language.
We styled them.
We photographed them.
We created a world around them.
And suddenly, something that existed only in my mind became something other people could step into and experience too.
That is the part of marketing I love.
The best marketing doesn’t just tell you what something is. It makes you feel something about it. It creates a world you want to step into. It connects what you see with something you already carry inside yourself—nostalgia, desire, freedom, love, confidence, belonging.
That is what I wanted this project to be.
These weren’t simply concepts I discovered on an inspiration board. They came from real moments, memories, places, relationships, and seasons of my life.
I wanted to take pieces of those beautiful seasons and turn them into art.
