ETC Institute's survey team is out talking with Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) riders, gathering statistically valid data for an Study running from late August through September.

These conversations are building a clearer picture of who's riding and how. The insights will sharpen regional forecasting by updating the tour-based travel demand model and inform future transit planning and compliance work.

ETC Institute's Transit Ambassador Support Team traveled to to support Cincinnati Metro (SOTRA) through a major transition at the University of Cincinnati's Main and Blue Ash campuses.

This school year, both campuses moved from a standalone university shuttle to a new SORTA Metro connection, with the Metro 70 Campus Connector Route now linking the two directly.

Our team worked alongside SORTA to support more than 2,000 students as they adjusted to the new . Ambassadors helped students set up their fare accounts, apply for passes through the university's website, and navigate their commutes, while also identifying opportunities to improve the overall rider experience.

This is what a thoughtful transition looks like, and we're glad to have been part of it.

ETC Institute is proud to have provided the statistically valid surveys behind the Draft 2026 Colorado Springs Park System Master Plan, developed in partnership with Pros Consulting, INC. and Kimley-Horn.

Based on a comprehensive assessment and efforts, the plan will outline how the City of Colorado Springs will maintain and invest in its parks, trails, and open spaces over the next 10 to 15 years.

Survey data revealed that nearly 80% of respondents prioritize reinvestment in existing parks over new expansions.

The draft is now in its public phase ahead of the final plan. Residents can review and share input through September 22.

ETC Institute is on the ground in Honolulu! Our team is talking with TheBus and Skyline riders as part of a large-scale origin-destination survey, on behalf of the Honolulu Dept. of Transportation Services.

We are interviewing riders in person, gathering current demographic and travel profile data. This baseline will support comparisons of rider experience across past and future networks.

The project will collect 15,000 responses to support ongoing efforts across the region.

ETC Institute was proud to play a part in New Britain Township's newly adopted Open Space Plan.

The found strong resident support: 94% believed the township should protect for natural resources, with wildlife protection (88%) and limiting development and suburban sprawl (83%) close behind.

Moving forward, residents are looking for improved communication around the township's conservation work and the taxes that fund it.

We look forward to seeing how this continues to guide New Britain's conservation priorities in the years ahead!

ETC Institute recently completed the 2026 community survey for City of Overland Park, Kansas Government, and residents are showing strong confidence in their local government.

97% of residents rated Overland Park an excellent or good place to live, and the city outperformed the U.S. average across all 47 service areas.

are actively applying the results to prioritize street maintenance and traffic flow for the year ahead, building on recent voter-approved investment in city infrastructure.
