Murphy was born in Washington State, has lived here a majority of his life, and has resided in Olympia for the last eight plus years. . Since graduating from Eastern Washington University, he has had the privilege of working for Governor Christine Gregoire, U.S. Congressman Brian Baird, and U.S. Senator Patty Murray. Prior to working for these officials in their official offices, he had the opportunity of working with a number of other state, and federal candidates on their campaigns. In his most recent role, he was the Executive Director for a multi-state trade association. In all of these positions, he gained vast knowledge in strategic development, fundraising, communications, and community outreach. When he isn't working, you will find him volunteering as a firefighter for a local fire district in Thurston County, playing racquetball at the Valley Athletic Club, or catching a Seattle Seahawks game in the fall. Robert D. Humes is the creator and co-founder of the Du'Vall Consulting Group. Robert established his out of the box leadership and planning acumen while serving as an HR Manager in the United States Army. He completed his bachelor's of science degree in HR Management while studying abroad at the University of Maryland, University College (Europe) and earned a masters of science degree in HR management from Brandman University in Lacey, Washington. Robert is an energetic public servant and communitarian. He has coached professionals, managers and teams through managing change within their organizations and careers.
