The best money I've ever spent was on something most people would call crazy.

But it gave me two things, a business that is mine, and a daily investment in my own health.

People will spend the same kind of money on a new TV, a vacation, or upgrading their car. Stuff that gives them a quick hit of dopamine.

But why not put my money into something that pays me back?

That's the difference between buying things and investing in them.

I’ve realized a lot about motivation this year.

I used to think I could only do things when I had the motivation to. I’d chase it like it was a drug.

But what I figured out is that motivation doesn’t come from chasing it. It comes from doing the work.

Taking a step back after finishing something and being proud of it. Seeing the progress day by day. That’s where it actually comes from.

I wish more people realized this instead of chasing cheap motivation and dopamine.

I’m doing things different for a reason

I see it everywhere. People working nonstop, paycheque to paycheque, struggling to afford basic needs.

It’s something I’ve been around my whole life, and I know a lot of people have been in similar spots.

That’s not something I want my future kids to go through. So I decided to do something different than the people around me.

I started this page to help promote overcoming those kinds of situations and building healthier habits along the way.

What I’m doing isn’t a way to get rich overnight. But stay consistent and patient, and you can really change things for yourself.

Heard something a few weeks ago that stuck with me.

“To start you don’t need to be great, but to be great you need to start.”

Hit me harder than I expected.

a long time I just waited. Kept telling myself I’ll
start when I felt ready or when I had it figured out.

But that doesn’t actually come before you start. It comes after.

Only a few months in, and still learning every day.
But I’m a lot further than I would have been if I kept waiting.

I see too many people doing this

They don’t start because of the fear of what others might think.

I deal with it too. Posting what I’m building and worrying someone’s going to think it’s a scam or that I’m delusional for trying.

That fear is real and I’m not going to pretend it isn’t.

But staying quiet because of what people might think is a guaranteed way to get nowhere.

Either way they’re going to talk. Might as well give them something worth talking about.

Something I never thought I'd say.

I actually wake up feeling rested,

I'm waking up earlier, not pressing snooze when my alarm goes off, and barely waking up in the middle of the night anymore.

All from changing a simple thing.

Sleep was always rough for me, so this is a huge win.
