Please beware of phone scammers! If someone tries to force you to pay money over the phone to avoid having your power disconnected, it’s most likely a scam attempt.
Threats targeting Baldwin EMC members are nothing new, but unfortunately, they don't seem to be going away. The key to protecting yourself? Know the red flags!
Scammers will typically use:
-High pressure tactics
-Questionable payment methods
-Dodgy communications
So if you receive a call like this, don’t give out personal information or agree to make payments. Hang up immediately and report the incident to Baldwin EMC by calling (251) 989-6247.
