Calling all book lovers, history buffs and Steampunk fans!

This Friday, August 28, head to the Hilbert Museum of California Art for “Growth of the Gears: The Evolution of Steampunk” with acclaimed author James P. Blaylock.

Blaylock was part of the small circle of groundbreaking writers who helped shape Steampunk before it became the worldwide phenomenon of Victorian style, brass gears, fantastic machines and retro-futurist worlds we know today.

The Woman’s Club of Orange is welcoming prospective members to its New Member Interest Reception this Tuesday, August 25, from 6–7:30 PM.

Come enjoy a free luau-themed evening, meet current members, make new friends, ask questions, try a craft activity, and learn more about becoming part of the Woman’s Club of Orange. Light refreshments will be served.

Even though the original RSVP date has passed, the event is still open to attendees, so if you’ve been curious about getting involved, you can still join the fun.

You don’t have to wait until October to get a little spooky in Old Towne Orange — the Old Towne Orange Ghost Walk is happening TOMORROW NIGHT! 🍂🧡

Wander through the historic streets of Old Towne with Haunted OC while hearing true ghost stories, local history and tales of some of Orange County’s most haunted places. 👀
