Under general supervision, perform various general accounting duties related to maintaining and reviewing fiscal, financial, and statistical records. The position at this level is responsible for independently resolving most problems occurring within the assignment to resolve most issues arising within the work alone.
Responsible duties may include, but are not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Purchasing, etc. They have maintained various accounting records and documents within a specialized area and other duties as required.

Responsibilities
• Reconcile accounts promptly
• Assists customers and employees with requests for transmission over the phone and in person;
researches and resolves customer discrepancies
• Inventory analyst and deferred revenue tracking
• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
• Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• Assignments may include responsibility for some general office support duties.
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
• Other projects as necessary
Qualifications
• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
• Self-driven motivator who takes the initiative on projects with a solid ability to understand and
solve creative challenges
• x+ years of overall general accounting experience
• Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
• Skillful in analytical, quantitative, and social skills
• Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports promptly
• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
• Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible, and able to deal with frequent
interruptions and changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in financial reporting
• Knowledge of Month-end Journal Entries
