I used to be one of those people who tried to do all the things…for myself, by myself.
Why?
1️⃣ Because I didn’t trust anyone to take care of my needs as well as I knew I would
2️⃣ I knew that I was smart and naturally gifted to the point where I could figure out just about anything if I spent some time on it
3️⃣ I was “saving money’ by doing it all myself (or so I thought? 🥴 lol)
But in within the past year, I just got to the point where I just had to call it quits. I was overworked, overwhelmed, under-fulfilled and growing up to be Superwoman just turned out to not be as cool as you’d expect. Lol And turns out, that “I’ll do it myself” act was actually costing a lot and saving very little.
But, things are better now.
I’m not only making more money, but I’m saving more time and energy, too.
I have the space to grow and expand where it counts and, get this one, I have time to REST. Lol
And the big secret?
I learned the power of a team.
I’ve learned to outsource any and everything that took me outside of my natural zone of genius and pulled me away from more profitable projects.
In the past year of so, we’ve grown from a team of 1 to team of 3 and also added expert support in the areas of social media, bookkeeping, legal aid, tax prep, insurance and more.
Sure, it’s scary trusting people with parts of your business, but it’s even scarier watching that business stall out and being too exhausted to feed it more fuel.
Success is built by teams.
Championships are won by teams.
