The hard truth is that most of the pelleted and bagged shavings use is just us leaning into convenience, and almost none of the bags are recycled. We can and must do better when possible! I know not every situation can’t go without bagged shavings, but if you HAVE to use them, at least find a way to recycle them. Please. Our planet needs us to do better.

Catchy might try to eat Esme every time they’ve ever been turned out together but that doesn’t mean he’s not gonna act like I’m putting her straight onto the glue truck every time I work her 😂 Poor guy, look at those stressed out nostrils.

I saw a couple funny posts for the year, hoping we get a bay gelding, praying it’s not a Shetland or asking if we can lunge it first. But then a memory of my old red mare popped up and I felt the complete opposite. With all the craziness we’ve been dealing with the last few years we need all of the red mare energy we can muster. I know from personal experience that nothing in the world loves harder, works harder and fights harder for what she believes in than a red mare. Puppies are inspecting the damage. Luckily the horses can go in the smaller paddocks while I work on this. Guess I’m starting my dead hedge I wanted, lol 🐧🐦 All the birds and bugs will be happy.
