Your website content has a way of dropping hints when it’s not pulling its weight.

For law firms, those hints might look like:
⚖️ Practice area pages that no longer rank
⚖️ Blog posts with outdated information
⚖️ Content that takes too long to answer the actual question
⚖️ Pages that aren’t written for how people search today

The good news? You may not need to start over.

A strategic content refresh can help your existing pages become clearer, stronger, and more competitive in both search engines and AI-driven results: https://southstreetmarketing.com/seo-content-refresh/

Most law firms think they need MORE content to rank.

They don’t.

They need better-performing content.

If your blogs aren’t generating traffic or leads, the issue usually isn’t volume, it’s that:
They don’t match search intent
They bury the answer
They’re outdated or hard to scan

We’ve seen pages jump 50–90+ ranking positions just by refreshing, not rewriting.

If you’re investing in SEO but not seeing results, start here: https://southstreetmarketing.com/seo-content-refresh/

And it’s the highest of any industry.

So the question isn't whether AI Overviews are reshaping legal marketing, that ship sailed.
The question is what your firm does about it.

A few places to start:
- Open your practice area pages with the actual answer, not "we fight for you"
- Attach real attorney names and credentials to your content
- Cite the specific statutes and deadlines in your jurisdiction
- Refresh your top pages quarterly so they reflect current law

Ranking on page one isn't the finish line anymore, getting cited is.

According to a recent Ahrefs study, AI Overviews have cut click-through to the top Google result by 58% in under a year.

Before law firms panic, though, it's worth asking who that lost traffic actually was. A chunk of it was research traffic - people looking up legal definitions, deadlines, and general questions who were never picking up the phone in the first place.

AI Overviews are absorbing that informational layer of search, and honestly, that's not always a loss for your firm.

The real risk is further down the funnel. When someone searches with hiring intent - "best DUI attorney near me," "personal injury lawyer in [city]" - is your firm showing up in the AI summary, or just below it?

That's the visibility worth fighting for. And the content that earns it looks different than the broad informational posts most firms have been publishing for years.

This is what happens when strategy, SEO, and ex*****on align:
✔️ Calls more than tripled
✔️ Website traffic surged
✔️ Dominating page 1 (and not just visiting it)

Most criminal defense firms are paying over $100 per lead and settling for a 9–10% conversion rate. That's just become the accepted norm in legal PPC.

For The Canina Law Firm, we ran Google Ads campaigns that delivered a 13.71% conversion rate - 37% above industry average - and an average cost per lead of just $68 in 2025, roughly a third cheaper than what most firms are paying.

That's what happens when paid search is built around a firm's existing brand authority instead of treated as a standalone channel.
