URBANFEST 360° ORLANDO KICKS OFF TODAY WITH A FULL EVENING OF FILM, CULTURE & COMMUNITY

ORLANDO, FL — Today is the day! UrbanFest 360° Orlando 2026 officially kicks off today, Friday, September 18, launching a three-day celebration of film, fashion, music, food, culture, and community.

Day 1 begins at 5:00 PM with the UrbanFest 360° Opening Celebration at the festival’s official hotel, bringing together festival guests, filmmakers, creatives, sponsors, community leaders, and attendees for an evening of connection and celebration.

The opening celebration will feature festival registration, a welcome reception, champagne toast, official cake cutting, sponsor recognition, and opening remarks from UrbanFest 360° Founder Timothy Starks.

The festivities then move to AFRO TV Studios for the official Opening Night Red Carpet at 6:00 PM, where filmmakers, special guests, honorees, sponsors, and attendees will come together to officially launch the festival weekend.

At 6:30 PM, the Opening Ceremony & Opening Night Shorts Program begins, featuring welcome remarks from UrbanFest 360° Director of Marketing Gabby Kennedy, followed by a curated selection of short films showcasing diverse stories and creative voices.

New 21+ Traveling Event Series Set to Tour Florida Quarterly
FLORIDA — Igloo Central Cooler Fest is set to launch on September 5, introducing a new traveling event experience for adults 21 and older. Designed to bring people together through music, entertainment, and social engagement, the event will make stops in different regions across Florida throughout the year.
This event will be taking place at 4075 James C Ray Drive, Lakeland, FL 33811.

As a quarterly event, Igloo Central Cooler Fest will take place every three months, creating opportunities for attendees from across the state to connect and enjoy a unique atmosphere in a variety of locations.
Guests are welcome to bring their own coolers, making the experience both personalized and community-driven. Each event will feature an energetic environment designed to encourage networking, celebration, and memorable experiences.

Why Lakeland?

For guests traveling from Orlando and Tampa, Igloo Central Cooler Fest is also an opportunity to make a day of the trip and experience what Lakeland has to offer.

Located along the I-4 corridor between the two cities, Lakeland offers much more than a stop between Orlando and Tampa. Visitors can explore a walkable downtown, local restaurants and businesses, lakeside spaces, gardens, arts and cultural attractions, and outdoor destinations.

Guests looking to arrive early can explore Bonnet Springs Park, a 168-acre urban-nature park with trails, gardens, recreation and other attractions. The park is conveniently located along the I-4 corridor and is accessible from both Orlando and Tampa.

Downtown Lakeland also offers opportunities to enjoy Lake Mirror, Hollis Garden, local dining and community events, making it easy to turn a trip to Igloo Central Cooler Fest into a full Central Florida experience.
