Welcome USA player Billy Fryar of Bigelow, Arkansas. Billy sustained a spinal cord injury and major shoulder injury in a motor vehicle accident 25 years ago. What once felt like the end of his golfing journey became the beginning of a new competitive chapter.

When his son Dillon expressed interest in learning the game, Billy discovered he could still compete — swinging the club one-handed and refusing to let limitations define him. That determination reignited his passion for high-level competition.

Competing in the 2022 USGA Adaptive Open at Pinehurst, with Dillon proudly serving as his caddie, was a defining moment in his golf career. In 2024, Billy represented Team USA at the Phoenix Cup at Saint Andrews in Scotland, which was a dream come true.

As a proud ambassador for SoloRider , Billy utilizes adaptive equipment that allows him to compete at an elite level while helping expand accessibility in the game of golf. Through discipline, resilience, and relentless drive, Billy continues to train, compete, and elevate his game. His mission is clear: prove that adversity does not eliminate opportunity ...it fuels it. Billy is honored to represent Team USA in 2026.

Welcome USA player Marcus Pierce, a resident of the small community of Marshall, Wisconsin. Marcus is a professional golfer and a three-time survivor of synovial cell sarcoma. His journey is defined by remarkable resilience and a deep commitment to the sport of golf.

Pierce’s battle with cancer began at the age of 11, with subsequent recurrences at ages 13 and 21. Following his third diagnosis, he underwent a leg amputation. In the years since his surgery, golf has served as a primary source of purpose and mental drive, providing both a competitive outlet and a personal passion.

A dedicated professional in the industry, Pierce serves as a Golf Pro at Pioneer Pointe in Verona, Wisconsin. His expertise on the course is matched by his competitive success on the international stage.
He is honored to represent the United States for the second time as he prepares for the 2026 Phoenix Cup. Having previously contributed to a championship win, he looks forward to competing for the "Stars and Stripes" and aims to help win the trophy again.

Yesterday was a day of great significance for American Blind Golf and the 32nd Phoenix Cup. When the demands of organizing the event seemed daunting, yesterday's experience renewed my sense of purpose. I was honored to present a check to fund the purchase of a specialized iPad for a visually impaired student in our area, a tangible representation of our organization's mission. This act of generosity underscores our commitment to our cause and reflects the values we seek to inspire in those who watch us play the game we are passionate about.
