Here are a few suggestions to help you set up your goals so that you can accomplish them. These are borrowed from the Sedona Method:

Phrase your goal in the NOW, as though it is already achieved.
Phrase your goal in the positive.
Include yourself in the goal statement.
Be precise and concise.
Be specific, but not limiting.
Eliminate the word “want.”
State the end result, not the means of achieving it.
Word your goal so that if feels right or good to you
