It's PARADE DAY in Osawatomie! Please make note of the regular temporary parade closures and parking restrictions for this evening:

- Parade starts at 7:00 PM
- Road closures begin at 5:30 PM
- Main St will be CLOSED from Oscar St to 12th St
- All vehicles must be removed from Main St by 5:00 PM.

Vehicles in driveways may remain as long as they don’t block sidewalks, but cannot exit until after the parade is over and barricades are removed.

Thanks for helping us keep the parade safe and fun for everyone!

(And, yes, we have communicated parade plans to the railroad multiple times -- we are crossing our fingers for a smooth parade with no train-related delays!)

The annual John Brown Jamboree Parade and Kiddie Carnival kicks off this multi-day tradition in Osawatomie. You can already see chairs setting up along the parade route and floats coming together for tonight's parade! What a fun family event in Osawatomie's rich history!

It's Parade Day! Just a reminder..... Main Street will start closing ahead of the parade. There will still be access getting across town....... might not be your usual route but remember this is just for a short period of time for this amazing annual event! Main Street will be opened as soon as possible. Be sure to be a part of this long-standing tradition in Osawatomie!

Just a week away! Sign up for parade, baby contest, 3 on 3, and kids fishing derby! Celebrate one of Osawatomie's Annual Signature Events. Reminder..... the Kiddie Carnival will be in John Brown Park along with the free Petting Zoo on Saturday morning. Don't forget to drop by John Brown Cabin as well!! Access to Main Street from 1st through 12th will be blocked for the parade on Thursday late afternoon until parade is over. It may not be your regular route, but there are still ways to access town and Main Street will be opened back up as soon as the parade is finished.
