We understand that ChatGPT and other AI tools are great for brainstorming and getting ideas flowing. But most of the time, the files they produce are not usable for real printing. About nine times out of ten, the artwork has to be rebuilt, corrected, or completely redesigned before it is print ready.
AI doesn’t account for print methods, resolution, vector requirements, or how artwork needs to be set up for clean, professional results. So if you bring us something generated by AI and need it converted to a proper print-ready file or need changes made, an artwork fee will apply. Not as a penalty, but because it takes actual work to make it functional.
AI can be great to help with getting an idea started, but it doesn’t replace a trained designer who understands production. If you want something printed beautifully and correctly, bring us the idea and we will make it print ready.
If you use AI to create a design, and you are absolutely in love with exactly what it did for you, we will only order a DTF Transfer, otherwise an art fee will be applied to make it print ready. DTF transfers are a great alternative to screen printing, but AI generated images do not always look as clean printed, as they do on a phone screen. AI does not produce clean vector images, so even when using your image directly from ChatGPT, we cannot guarantee the quality of the print once the transfer is printed.

We understand that our original may not be as detailed or distressed, making it less appealing, but we want you to understand what we are able to screen print vs what AI creates, which usually is not functional for production.
