Before the meetings, marketing plans and client projects, we were students with big dreams and school pictures that some of us would rather forget.

This back-to-school season, we're taking a walk down memory lane with a few yearbook photos from the Blue Door Consulting team. It's fun to see how much has changed and how some of those childhood interests still show up in the work we do today.

From aspiring writers, photographers and architects, our teammates had plenty of ideas about what they wanted to be when they grew up. While the paths may have looked a little different than expected, creativity, curiosity and a love of learning have been part of the journey from the start.

AI is moving fast, and there’s a lot to keep up with.

On November 3rd, Blue Door Consulting’s Co-founder Heidi Strand and AI Solutions Consultant Andy Wojtowski will join business leaders, innovators and AI practitioners at the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce AI Business Summit. Both Heidi and Andy will take the stage to share practical insights on AI adoption and what it takes to move from experimentation to real business value.

The full-day summit will cover practical AI strategies, real-world use cases, responsible adoption, risk management and more, with plenty of opportunities to learn from peers and connect with other professionals along the way.

When a community comes together, Tracy Freund is ready to pitch in.

Recently, Technical Support Consultant Tracy Freund volunteered at the Town of Calumet Fire Department 28th Annual Pork Chop Dinner, helping run the take-out line alongside firefighters and FFA volunteers. From about 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., the team assembled 400 to 500 take-out meals, helping make one of the department’s biggest fundraisers a success.

This year’s dinner gave Tracy another opportunity to support the firefighters who serve her community while helping raise funds for the equipment and resources they need to keep people safe.

In early August, Blue Door Consulting helped Roth Equipment & Supplies make its debut as a new supplier at the Mid-States Distributing, LLC. Fall Rendezvous in Phoenix. With fresh booth branding, newly designed brochures and Senior Marketing Consultant Eric Larose on the ground, Roth had the tools to introduce its products and connect with buyers from 29 independent retailers.

And with Phoenix temperatures topping 100 degrees, the Roth-branded water bottles made a splash, giving buyers one more reason to stop, cool off and learn more.

From telling client stories to sharing the story of Wisconsin pork, Rachel Hoppes knows the power of a good connection.

At Blue Door Consulting, Rachel Hoppes helps clients turn ideas into engaging experiences that connect people. At the Wisconsin State Fair, she puts that same talent for connection to work at the Pork Schoppe, a place that has been part of her life for as long as she can remember. Rachel grew up on a pig farm and has watched her family volunteer at the Pork Schoppe for years. Now, she helps carry on that tradition herself.

For Rachel, the Pork Schoppe is a chance to give back to the industry that shaped her while introducing fairgoers to Wisconsin pork in a fun and approachable way. From sharing recipes to serving up pork burgers and pork chops, she gets to put a local face on an industry that means a lot to her.

Stories have a way of bringing people together.

On August 15th, Blue Door Consulting’s Sarah Zimm Readers joined fellow author mjdeloybooks at The Flora Shelves in Appleton for Bookstore Romance Day. Sarah signed copies of Every Dark Shadow, Every Thread of Light and Darkwielder while connecting with fantasy and romance readers.

For Sarah, the event highlighted the power of creative community. “Events like these draw hundreds of people together, letting authors and readers connect on a deep level over human-created, human-centered stories.”
