TL;DR Today is the shop’s one-year anniversary and to celebrate I’m going to be printing up these shirts and hoodies!

The longer version: One year ago today, I opened the doors of Shirts and Destroy Print Shop. It was a long process to get to that point. The idea of opening a shop started about two-and-a-half years earlier, and it wasn’t until May 2024 I got serious about it. I spent the next seven months doing a bunch of business-type crap and finding a location, found one in December 2024 and didn’t get the keys until June of 2025 and finally opened in July.
There were times I didn’t know if the shop was actually going to happen and there were times I didn’t know if it was going to work. Hell, a year in and there are still days and weeks where I don’t know if it’s going to work, but that’s how it can be when you run your own business. Button the hatches, weather the storm, feel the sun on your face once the storm passes, and be ready to do it all again once another bank of dark clouds appear in the distance.
While I’m a one-man shop, I didn’t get to this point on my own. I’ve had help and support from friends, and of course, everyone who’s placed an order. I can have the doors open and all the equipment to print, but it just sits there without orders. To everyone who placed an order over this last year, whether it was for me to print goodies for you or you were picking up shop merch and/or shirts from the fundraisers I’ve done, thank you. Without you, I’d just be sitting with a bunch of screen printing equipment in an old corner laundromat with nothing to do like a real weirdo, and that doesn’t sound as fun.
I wanted to do something to commemorate being open for a year so I came up with a real dumb shirt idea and hit up my dude Dog City Drifter to make it way cooler than I could have asked for. It’s up for pre-order now and I’m offering it as a shirt and a pullover hoodie. With a 6-color front and a 4-color back, this is a monster of a shirt with such a stupid play on The Stooges song, it still makes me giggle. Link to snag a shirt or hoodie below and in my bio.
Thank you to everyone who has played a part in getting me to this point. It means a lot to have your trust and get to play a small part in whatever you have going on, and to be part of this community.
