Updates were requested on where the donations have gone so far!

The Phoenix area food pantry has received our donations đź–¤ What a lovely place, please consider supporting them and donating to them this season! They have over 100 families that they work with.

We’ve also donated to the Phoenix Senior Dining program - terrific people who really care! Dont forget to support them!

We have filled the blessing boxes at the corner of W Mohawk & W 6th in Oswego and the one at the First United church in Fulton. We will be filling the Fulton one again tomorrow.

We have many more kits we will be dispersing to 2-3 more pantries! đź–¤

For a local to their area business with a very targeted area that they serve, these are pretty impressive engagement numbers with only having spent less than $100 in paid advertising this month. Using organic marketing and utilizing local engagement opportunities , we regularly get their phone ringing without traditional paid marketing avenues. This tried and true method of marketing is something I find to be more trustworthy with consumers and more effective at engaging long term supporters / followers / clients. While paid marketing still has its place, this business has succeeded for years with very low monthly ad spends.

We did it! Our first ever fundraiser this year was a fantastic success! This year our goal was to make 40 kits to feed local families, and then it became 120 kits, but support became so high. Last night we got together with other people in our community and built 211 kits total. Almost 100 additional to our goals!

These kits (and all excess food) will be donated to food pantries in our area this coming week, if you would like to add any pantries or “free pantry” boxes in our area that you think could use the boost please let us know! We have not divvied the kits up yet, they will be divided and split throughout this coming week.

Some pantries we will be calling to arrange donations for or filling the blessing boxes for are-

-Friends of Recovery Oswego County
-Fulton united Methodist church
-Salvation Army food pantries in both Oswego & Fulton
-first united church of Fulton outdoor blessing box
-Parish Ecumenical Food pantry (parish NY)
-phoenix area food pantry
-blessing box on W 6th and Mohawk (Oswego)

We are so excited to use this momentum and practice to kick off our goals for 2026. My husband and I are getting ready to finally debut a lifelong dream of mine to start a nonprofit accessibility program and are just trying to get the logistics together.

Total kits -

181 of those kits feed 4-5 people
30 of those kits feed 1 person or 2 small children

Just did a big shop with the monetary donations! We have well-exceeded our goal and are making many many additional kits! The overwhelming support of everyone in our community and in our life has been amazing. We are so excited to serve hundreds of families in our area this season! This is just one of three final shops.

This kick off is the start of something beautiful for our area and we hope to share more soon.

We will continue to post about our fundraiser event until the packages are made and donated next week!

If you’d like to drop off any donations before the event please message the page to coordinate! Thank you 🖤🖤

Good morning!

I have created a survey for Housebound People and those who know / love / care for Housebound People in the Central NY Area (Oswego, Onondaga, & Wayne Counties). This survey is being used as a tool to present during presentations when obtaining funding for a new housebound accessibility program that I am attempting to bring to the area, with support from local government figures. It is also being used to identify the needs of our local housebound community to see where the greatest needs are (medical care, support services, income, etc.). This has been in the works for the last several months, and the biggest hurdle I have encountered so far is that because housebound people are not seen physically in the community, there isn't enough data! So, I will find and produce my own!

If you are housebound, or know someone who is, and live in any of these 3 counties, please fill out the survey! You can remain completely anonymous, as I am not requiring any contact info (any prompts for it would be optional and all questions are optional for maximum comfort).

Housebound in this instance is referencing those who are housebound due to illness / disability / mental or physical health limitations, etc.

If you have any interest in being a part of the mission to bring accessibility to our local community, whether it be help funding, help sharing the word, volunteering to help with logistics, please feel free to message me!

I appreciate your support, thank you!

Your answers will help us better understand and support housebound individuals in our area. All responses are confidential and anonymous unless you choose to provide contact info at the end. A housebound person for the purpose of this survey refers to someone who is housebound due to physical, menta...
