๐ Sunday Scripture Spotlight
"Then Jesus told his disciples, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?" - Matthew 16:24-26
When Jesus told His disciples about His coming death and resurrection, they struggled to accept it. Peter even rebuked Him, holding onto the hope that Jesus would establish His kingdom on earth in their time. But Jesus made it clear that His mission was far greater.
This passage reminds us that true life is found not in earthly gain, but in surrendering to Godโs will. To follow Christ means to deny ourselves, let go of our own desires, and trust in His greater plan.
As we step into a new week, may we reflect on what it means to take up our cross and follow Him, putting aside worldly pursuits for eternal life in His kingdom.
๐ Have a blessed Sunday!
