Does this cover photo paint this business in a good light? 😅
This is your reminder! Take a few minutes to review your business pages and check the following:

• Update your cover photo.
Make sure it fits the current dimensions and looks good on both desktop and mobile. A stretched, cropped, or outdated image can make the entire page feel neglected.

• Check your profile photo.
Your logo should be clear, centered, and easy to recognize. Avoid using a logo with tiny text that becomes unreadable on a phone.

• Confirm your contact information.
Double-check your phone number, website, email address, business hours, and service area. Customers should not have to search through old posts to figure out how to contact you.

• Update your company description.
Clearly explain what your company does, where you work, and which services you provide. Avoid vague descriptions that do not tell customers why they should call you.

• Review your call-to-action button.
Make sure the “Call,” “Message,” “Book Now,” or “Get a Quote” button works and leads customers to the right place.

• Remove outdated promotions.
Old holiday specials, expired discounts, outdated phone numbers, and services you no longer offer can confuse potential customers.

• Pin a helpful post.
Your pinned post can introduce your company, explain your services, share a current offer, or show customers how to request an estimate.

• Post recent work.
Customers want to see that your company is active. Share completed projects, before-and-after photos, team members, customer reviews, and helpful information about your services.

Your social media pages are often the first place a potential customer looks before calling your business. Even if most of your work comes from referrals, people will usually check your page to make sure your company looks active, professional, and trustworthy. You do not have to post every day, but your page should accurately represent the quality of the business you have worked hard to build!

The companies winning work right now are the ones showing up consistently.

Show your work.
Show your process.
Show the sparks, the welds, the installs, the repairs, the finished product, and the people behind it.

Customers don’t hire contractors because of polished marketing. They hire contractors because they can see the quality of the work with their own eyes.

Every photo, video, and jobsite update builds trust long before the phone rings.

FREE advice for contractors whose phones aren't ringing this summer:

1. Check your Google Business Profile first. Make sure your phone number, service areas, hours, photos, and services are actually updated.

2. Post recent work. People want to see proof that you are active, booked, and trusted in their area.

3. Ask for reviews while the job is still fresh. A happy customer today is way more likely to leave a review than someone you ask three months later.

4. Stop only posting finished jobs. Show the process, the problem, the repair, the materials, the crew, and the reason the work matters.

5. Make sure your website tells people what you do, where you do it, and how to contact you within the first few seconds.

6. Answer messages and missed calls fast. A lot of customers are calling the next company if they do not hear back quickly.

7. Talk about the problems your customers are already dealing with. Leaks, storm damage, broken springs, clogged drains, ugly siding, worn-out decks, and repair costs are what get people to pay attention.

8. Keep showing up before you need leads. Marketing works better when people have already seen your name before the emergency happens.

If your phone is not ringing, don’t guess. Look at what customers can actually find when they search for you, land on your page, or scroll past your posts. Search your business on Google, Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuck Go.

We spend our days in driveways, crawlspaces, mechanical rooms, job sites, and service trucks just like you. Documenting the work that keeps businesses running and homes functioning.

A few shots from recent projects:
• Drain cleaning and jetting crews in the field
• Residential plumbing service calls
• Window tint installation
• HVAC equipment installs
• Exterior cleaning and pressure washing
• Siding and remodeling projects

If your company has plenty of work to show but barely any photos or video to prove it, that’s where we come in!

Why does your website still look like the version of your business you outgrew two years ago? ⁉️

Maybe your website was the thing you “just needed to get done” when you first started. A few photos, a phone number, a list of services, and boom, you had something online. But now your business is bigger than that.

✨Your website should make people feel confident before they ever call you. It should show your work, explain what you do, build trust fast, and make it easy for a homeowner to choose you over the guy they found right below you on Google.✨

When someone lands on your site, they are already asking themselves one question:

“Can I trust this company with my home?”

At Contractors Social, we build websites for contractors and home service businesses that actually match the quality of the work behind the brand. If your website feels outdated, thrown together, or smaller than the business you’ve built, let’s fix that. Send us a message or tap the link in bio to get started! 🏗️

Trust isn’t built on the first call. It’s built before that. When someone lands on your page and starts scrolling. They’re looking for proof that you’re real. That you do good work. That you’re not just another logo with a stock photo.

A recent Getty Images study found that nearly 90% of consumers want to know if an image is AI-generated. And 98% said authentic visuals are key to earning their trust.

If you're still leaning on generic stock photos or AI-generated faces, it might be quietly working against you without you even realizing it.
