Cornerstone Shopping Center Remains Closed as Investigation Continues

An update from Oklahoma Natural Gas indicates that the source of the issue at Cornerstone Shopping Center is not currently believed to be a natural gas leak.

Investigators are now evaluating whether the presence of gas could be connected to an abandoned well or a naturally occurring pocket of methane. The Oklahoma Corporation Commission has been notified and is actively involved in the investigation.

Samples have been collected and sent to a laboratory for testing. The shopping center, including all businesses and the parking lot, will remain closed until test results are received and officials can determine the safest course of action.

Residents are asked to stay clear of the barricaded area, as ONG officials have deemed the building unsafe at this time. Surrounding roadways and nearby structures remain open and accessible.

Owasso Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Theft Suspect

The Owasso Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual connected to an alleged retail theft incident that occurred at the Walgreens located at 86th Street and Garnett Road.

According to police, the incident took place on June 15, 2026, at approximately 6:20 p.m. Investigators say the suspect allegedly stole approximately $140 worth of Plan B emergency contraceptive pills from the store.

Store management described the individual as a young Black male wearing a black sleeveless shirt, camouflage shorts, a gold chain, dark-colored shoes, and an oversized gray backpack. He was also reported to have shoulder-length dreadlocks, light-colored framed glasses, a goatee, and minimal facial hair above his upper lip.

Anyone who recognizes the individual or has information related to the case is encouraged to contact the Owasso Police Department tip line at 918-272-COPS (2677) or submit an online tip.

Police are asking callers to reference case number 2026-11629.

There is no other way to say it but it has been an exciting ride. Eagle was a dream of ours and we executed that dream. We learned so much and are SO thankful for this experience. However, it is time. We have been hoping work would pick up but it has been extremely slow since March. And it's not just our business. Quite a few others in the automotive industry have been very slow as well.
We are closing.
We thank ALL of our customers. Some of you we have had deep conversations with and you have prayed for us and for our daughter. WE THANK YOU. You will never know how much you mean to us.
On a personal level, we have been through SO MUCH in the past 2 years I can't even tell you the whole story. It would take days.
