Some love stories just take a little longer to find their way exactly where they were always supposed to be. šŸ¤

This wedding was an extra special one for me to photograph. Kati and I went to school together, so getting to be the one behind the camera as she married the love of her life was pretty dang special.

And when I say this day was a long time coming, I mean it in the best way. Kati and Tom found their way to each other, and watching the two of them together makes it pretty easy to see that this is exactly where they were meant to end up.

The way Tom looks at her. The happiness on Katiā€™s face. The love surrounding them all day long. It was genuine, easy, and so very them.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Reed. Hereā€™s to finally getting your forever. šŸ¤

One little one turning THREE and the other turning ONE. We kept this session close to home, literally, photographing these sweet boys and their parents right outside the place where so many of their everyday memories are being made!

And of course, you canā€™t turn ONE without a little cake smash to finish things off. Safe to say, he understood the assignment.

The wild, the giggles, the snuggles, the cake-covered fingersā€¦ these are the seasons worth remembering exactly as they are.

These are always some of my favorite sessions because weā€™re not chasing perfect. Weā€™re capturing what life actually looks like right now. The way they look at each other, the little hands reaching for Mom and Dad, the personalities that canā€™t be contained, and all those ordinary pieces of life that someday wonā€™t feel so ordinary.

And I meanā€¦ when the cows decide to cooperate for family pictures too, you take full advantage.

It may have been a HOT one at White Mule Winery, but I donā€™t think there was a single thing that could have taken away from how good this day was.

From beginning to end, there was so much genuine happiness surrounding these two. The kind of smiles you donā€™t have to ask for, the laughs that come naturally, and a whole group of people who were just truly happy to be there celebrating them.

Hot weather, happy tears, cold drinks, lots of laughter, and two people surrounded by so much love. Iā€™d say that makes for a pretty perfect wedding day.

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Ellis! Hereā€™s a little preview of such a beautiful day.
