I 100% took this photo off Root Design Company FB post. Just wanted to show a little before/after of a post construction job I did for them. The darker colors and rough cut wood accents make it SO dang hard to get a sparkling clean look but look incredible, (especially with their eye for decorating and design) It’s super important NOT to skip any steps in the post construction cleaning process.

Morning and happy Tuesday! I wanted to make a post about what services I actually provide. I also dont want people to think im hurting or desperate for work. Im not i am doing just fine. But suddenly, just fine isnt enough for me anymore im feeling reenergized and ready to make above and beyond feel normal again instead of a chore.

So, all im asking is if you hear or know someone who may need some help in these areas, maybe tag me or give them my name and number if you have it.If youre one of my secret frienamies and we are still FB friends then just kindly scroll on or unfriend me. No worries

So, heres what i do offer. I mostly do property management for vacation rentals and clean them. My favorite cleans are the post construction jobs. I love me some clean dirt!!

I also do second homes ( the kind we have several days to get to as the STRs pretty much dictate my schedule) and deep cleans or “ move out/in” cleans. I rely on alot of my real estate friends for those.

I sometimes Throw in a vehicle or horse trailer detail in the spring and fall when im slower, but to be honest, thats alot of work so i dont really advertise that much.

The things I DONT do. I dont do the regular scheduled residential cleanings. Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly types. But if you have a reliable friend or cleaner that you recommend i would gladly pass on that kind of business.

That’s how i started and im super grateful for those folks and their business back then but my STRs just dont allow it anymore.

Quite frankly, I don’t like to be in someone else’s personal space while I’m cleaning. I don’t like having someone “look over my shoulder” so to speak. And, i like making my own schedule on the fly

I also don’t do businesses. Again, I did that and SUPER grateful for those businesses but the after hours and weekend only cleans were rough.

Ive been extremely fortunate to not have to advertise much over the last several years as most of my business is either repeat clients and builders or word of mouth. So i take that as a compliment but theres always room for growth!!

I know I’ve been flooding Facebook with irrelevant videos or maybe relevant to some of you but there’s a reason for it. When I first started this business 12 years ago, it kind of fell in my lap and took off overnight. I was super driven spent days and hours driving around town talking to anybody and everybody I could think of that would have anything to do with construction or vacation rentals just to leave my business cards with them. Over the years I’ve gotten lazy and just kind of coasted through life and haven’t really advertised my business. But times are changing and there’s more people that do what I do than ever before.

So it’s time for a change. Over the last couple years I’ve witnessed some of our friends and fellow community members succeed in their industry, partially due to social media. We’ve all watched Chris Liveritt and his amazing SHERPA team take over the real estate market an open a second office downtown. I KNOW you’ve all seen Chris Mott and team Msquared with all their shenanigans, including Chris in the river, wearing a pink flamingo and hip waders. What does this have to do with real estate? Probably nothing to the naked eye, but it shows his personality and his willingness to put himself out there to succeed in his industry closing on 50 1/2 Homes in 2025. (He’s currently on the beach in Roatan!!) It’s memorable. Surely social media had something to do with that.

I know I’m not the only one that has been on the daily adventures with our friends at High Altitude Pagosa choosing to live in a wall tent in the middle of winter in the Rocky Mountains or hiking through cascading waterfalls and some in disclosed area. I’m always excited to see where their adventure leads them next.

And then there’s people like Allen Domingo! who to most of you is just the guy that gets your packages at the post office and probably not quick enough (to you haters)  but he selfishly for no other reason then to just be a nice guy continues to promote local businesses especially restaurants and food trucks, becoming a local star in our community through social media. Maybe even running for mayor!!

You’ve heard of “ let them theory” well I’m going with the “why not theory”. Why not try something new, why not out myself and business out there, why not be different.

After all, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

So, here’s to kicking INSANITY out the door and just being a crazy horse girl and maybe riding horseback on the beach in Roatan next year!
