Doug Fenton 1989. Funny story, the first year I lettered Doug's car in 1988 was in the garage attached to the Pawn Shop. Back then, many teams made parties around getting a car lettered and drew a large group of people. This was no different in that tiny garage. We were about half way done and the Police kicked in the door and raided with guns drawn. A detective I knew on the force was like, "Beef! What's going on?" LOL just lettering a race car. We laughed, they checked things out and said an old lady next door called and said there was drug or gang activity in the garage. Fast forward to the next year, the second year and we had the same type of gathering while lettering the car and were reminiscing about the previous year and the raid that happened, and no kidding, while in the middle of joking about the year before the door gets kicked in again! And the same detective comes in and says, "Beef! Again? I can't believe it!" LOL Same lady called again. A couple of the detectives came back after their shift that night and had a beer with us! Great memories! :)
