Excited to release my latest pattern for the holidays:

Christmas Past

It may still be the late days of summer, but that reminds us of what we long for that comes after. Cooler weather and the holiday season. It’s the perfect time of year to get an early start, making some special gifts to share with family and friends.

Bruce Allen Designs for Fabric Confetti is thrilled to release his newest pattern “Christmas Past”. Beautiful vintage ornaments from holidays long ago, these colorful designs remind me of Christmas Day at my grandparents house. The cheerful holiday mug rugs stitch out completely "In the hoop”, and may also be used as desk pillows. Each design includes a memorable phrase from an old Christmas song, to bring a smile and evoke the spirit of the season.

Included in the pattern are design files and instructions for 24 designs. The 8 original designs are for mug rug/desk pillows with background quilting. Also included are 8 "design only" and 8 “design and wording only” versions, without background quilting. The pattern provides the following formats: DST, EMB, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES, VP3.

The 8 mug rug/desk pillow designs are: 6.00" x 10.00". A 6.29" x 10.2" (160 x 260) hoop or larger is required.

The 8 “design and wording only” versions - WITHOUT the quilted background, fit into a smaller, 5.7" x 10.0" (145 x 255) or larger hoop.

The 8 “design only” versions can be completed in a 5” x 7” (130mm x 180mm) hoop or larger.

The designs without background quilting are perfect for totes, aprons, tea towels etc.

A general instruction PDF and individual design stitch-out instruction PDFs are provided. SVG cutting files are included that can be used with your preferred electronic cutting machine to cut your appliqué shapes. We have also provided PDF templates if you prefer to use the “trace and cut” method.

I’m introducing my newest pattern today - Grandma’s Christmas Tree Greeting Cards.

When I think of holidays from my childhood - something that always comes to mind is the memory of Christmas day at Grandma's house and her beautifully trimmed tree. Delicate frosted and blown glass shapes that she had gently unpacked from their tissue paper resting places and carefully hung on the tree. If Christmas time brings back similar recollections for you - then I think you will really enjoy stitching out these adorable and nostalgic card designs. They will be cherished by all who receive them!

All 8 ornament card designs are also supplied as a stand alone embroidery object file - that can be stitched out onto anything you choose, without the background quilting found on the card files. PDF templates and SVG files are included for cutting all of your appliqué shapes, as well as detailed general instructions and individual design stitch out instructions!
