VALLEY PRESS
STAFF REPORT
PALMDALE — Twenty-five of the Antelope Valley’s most promising students were recognized for their achievements during the annual Future Leaders ceremony held May 15 at the Palmdale Playhouse.
The event celebrated the distinguished group of 25 high school and college students who were nominated by teachers, parents, counselors, pastors and coaches. A selection committee of the Antelope Valley Press staff carefully reviewed the more than 75 applications before making the final decisions. Once the 25 finalists were notified, the reporters from the Valley Press interviewed them and their stories appeared in the annual “Future Leaders” special section that was published on March 27.
