Earlier this week, I had a conversation with a client struggling to get his sales team to adopt the HubSpot CRM.

A bunch of the reps were using spreadsheets or notebooks, and they viewed HubSpot as "another chore." Meanwhile, none of them were making quota and the company was leaving a lot of money on the table.

Why was this happening? We discovered their portal was not customized to their business and they did not have a defined process for sales. But the biggest problem was that no one had listened to the sales team to understand how they worked. They felt left out of the CRM implementation process.

In my recent video, I stressed the importance of using real-life scenarios your team encounters daily. When you tailor HubSpot and your training to reflect your team's unique language and workflows; that's when the magic happens. ✨ Suddenly, HubSpot isn't just a tool - it's YOUR tool.

This past week, I've been thinking a lot about why teams fail to adopt a CRM.

I've seen team suffer from incomplete or botched onboarding, which leaves them with a "fancy Rolodex" and a more manually-intensive process instead of a time-saving tool.

Other times, it's lack of proper training or no reinforcement to use the tool.

In any of these cases the result is the same, missed opportunities and no discernible return on the CRM investment. 😠 No bueno.

Just got back from Portugal 🇵🇹 ✈️ and I've been sharing fun/interesting highlights from the country's rich aviation history.

On this last post of the series, I'm sharing that Portugal is attracting major aviation investments. For example, Lufthansa Technik is building a new facility near Porto, creating over 700 jobs and boosting the country's aerospace sector.

Another area of growth is the use of drones.

Portugal has been developing military drone capabilities since the late 1990s. And Portuguese researchers have been actively developing drone technologies for various commercial and industrial applications including in agriculture, structural inspections, map tracking and environmental monitoring. Companies like Connect Robotics have pioneered drone deliveries in Portugal, including the first delivery to an isolated village and within an urban area.

Portugal's enterprising aviation history will continue to inspire me. From early pioneers to modern innovations, Portugal's contributions to aviation are truly remarkable.

Exciting news from Portugal! 🇵🇹✈️

This one is for or sustainable aviation buffs: Europe's first 100% electric aircraft, the Velis Electro, took its inaugural flight from Viseu Municipal Aerodrome late last year.
Made by , the aircraft is powered by two water-cooled lithium batteries and can fly for 50 miutes producing zero emissions during operation.
It's also extraordinarily silent, with noise levels at just 60 dBa, making it ultra-quiet both inside and out.

IFA - International Flight Academy - has purchased two of these aircarft, marking a significant step towards greener skies.

Olá from adventurous Portugal! 🇵🇹✈️

My series on this country's aviation achievements moves forward in time with the founding of TAP Air Portugal in 1945. TAP quickly established itself as a pioneer in commercial aviation and inaugurated its first commercial regular flight from Lisbon to Madrid in 1946. (on my birth month of September!)

TAP is the country's flag carrier (national airline), and today it's expanding its reach! They've recently added new routes to the US, including Boston-Porto, Los Angeles-Lisbon, and San Francisco-Terceira (Azores), further connecting Portugal to North America.

Hello from sunny Portugal! 🇵🇹✈️

This past week I've been sharing highlights from Portugal's intrepid aviation history. Today I learned that established its Military Aviation School in 1916, marking the beginning of formal aviation training in the country. By 1924 Portuguese aviators attempted the first aerial journey from Portugal to Macau. While less famous than the Atlantic crossing, this ambitious flight demonstrated Portugal's continued push for long-distance aviation achievements.
