If you try to have us, or any other company, take 100% of the social media workload off your plate, we’ll do a good job of it, yet your social media program will be nowhere near as effective as it could be. We just don’t know the business like you do, and we’re not there every day immersed in the culture and the goings on. You’re not a social media expert, and hiring one full time is an expense th

at’s probably not in your budget. Where’s the affordable middle ground? Welcome to Co-Sourcing
Instead of trying to move 100% of the social media workload off your plate, let’s keep you involved, but make you more effective. Let us take the 80% of the job that’s mechanics, time, and social media knowledge and put that on OUR plate. Then let’s both work together as a team on that remaining 20% of content creation from the inside of the organization, and the integrated communications planning that unites social with all of the other efforts your company is undertaking so that everything is part of a unified whole. Rather than outsourcing, co-source the social media plan to an expert rep from NetWeave who can do the lion’s share of the work, for a fraction of the cost of hiring a full time employee to help.

🎉 As part of our 17-year anniversary celebration, we wanted to share why we love what we do, and Caroline said it perfectly:

“I like all the different hats we get to wear. Sometimes, we’re a zoo keeper, a lighthouse enthusiast, or a VCB. It’s made me like a walking encyclopedia full of ‘Did you know’ facts.”

One day we’re learning about wildlife, the next we’re diving into local history or helping promote amazing destinations and businesses. No two days are ever the same and, honestly, that’s one of our favorite parts of the job.

Here’s to 17 years of learning something new every single day. ❤️

Not every post has to look the same to be successful.

A strong social media strategy includes a mix of short posts, longer storytelling captions, photos, videos, behind-the-scenes moments, graphics, and more. Some followers love quick updates while others connect more with detailed stories or engaging video content.

Variety keeps your feed fresh, helps reach different audiences, and gives people more reasons to engage with your brand. The more dynamic your content feels, the more likely your audience is to keep coming back for more.

After all, variety is the spice of live.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our country.

Back in April, we had the opportunity to visit Arlington National Cemetery after speaking with a Gold Star mother who shared the story of her son before our trip. Standing among the rolling hills lined with thousands of headstones was surreal, a powerful reminder of the sacrifice behind the freedoms we enjoy every day.

This Memorial Day, we remember those heroes, their families, and the legacy they left behind. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Wht We Lrnd Ovr T Yrs (Flash Back)

Social media has grown into an entire industry over the years, but when we started, there wasn’t really a roadmap for any of this.

We didn’t go to school for social media marketing. We learned through what you might call “on-the-job training,” which is a fancy way of saying we all collectively hit buttons and hoped for the best while the internet evolved in real time.

We started back when you could text directly to Facebook and didn’t even need a photo, much less a video, trending audio, captions, hooks, hashtags, SEO, and seventeen calls to action before breakfast.
There were no reports. No analytics dashboards. No reels. No stories. Twitter only allowed 140 characters, and honestly, we feel that’s where the internet’s creative spelling era really took off. Sorry about that.

We were there when Instagram launched and everyone suddenly had to learn a new name for the pound symbol. We figured out how to make photo grids line up. We watched influencers rise to internet fame and then disappear faster than a MySpace song autoplaying in another browser tab.

And through all of it, we’ve kept learning. Constantly reading, adapting, testing, troubleshooting, and watching social media evolve in real time. Some trends have been brilliant. Others have made us stare at our phones and wonder if humanity is okay.

But after 17 years, one thing still makes this industry exciting: the fact that it never stops changing.

17 Years in the Making

As NetWeave approaches 17 years on June 1, we’ve been reflecting on the things we truly love about working in social media.

Pamela:

For me, one of the best parts has always been the opportunity to constantly learn. Over the years, I’ve worked with dentists, attractions, boat sales and rentals, chefs, restaurants, historic landmarks, and so many other incredible industries and organizations. Every client brings a new perspective, a new challenge, and something fascinating to discover.

That’s one of the things I love most about this work: no two days are ever the same. One day you’re learning about historic architecture, the next you’re talking boating trends, menu development, tourism, or community events. It keeps life interesting, creative, and constantly moving.

And honestly, Kevin, thank you for asking if I wanted to start a business with you all those years ago. It’s been one heck of an educational journey, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

90% of Instagram users follow at least one business account.

So if your business isn’t on Instagram, there’s a decent chance your customers are out there scrolling right past you looking at tacos, dog videos, and your competitors.

People use Instagram to decide where to eat, shop, visit, book, and spend their money. Your social media page has basically become the modern version of driving past a business and peeking through the window to see if anybody’s home.

And here’s the important part: people don’t follow businesses just to be sold to every five minutes. They follow accounts that make them laugh, teach them something, show personality, and remind them there are actual humans behind the logo.

A good social media presence builds trust before a customer ever walks through your door. Also, unlike a billboard, Instagram lets people immediately ask questions, share your posts, and send your reels to their cousin at 11:47 p.m.

That’s marketing magic right there.

From day one, we’ve tried to do business a little differently.

No pressure. No gimmicks. And definitely no treating customers like “wallets with legs.”

To us, trust has always mattered more than a quick sale. Anybody can sell a car once. Building relationships that last for years? That takes honesty, consistency, and people who genuinely care about doing right by others.

At the end of the day, we’re not focused on transactions. We’re focused on creating an experience that keeps people coming back long after the new car smell wears off.

At NetWeave, we spend most of our time helping brands grow online. But every now and then, it’s nice to help the planet out too.

We’re proud to support Planet Wild and the work they’re doing to restore forests and protect ecosystems around the world. One of their recent projects focuses on building long-lasting forests in ways that help nature recover naturally instead of just dropping a few trees in the ground and calling it a day.

There’s something hopeful about investing in a healthier planet. Maybe it’s because forests are kind of like good marketing strategies: strong roots matter, growth takes time, and if you ignore things for too long, eventually somebody’s cleaning up a mess.

We know one small business can’t fix the whole world on its own. But we do believe small actions add up, and we want to support organizations trying to leave things better than they found them.

Also, trees give us oxygen, and frankly, we’re pretty attached to that arrangement.
