Juneteenth - Freedom Day. ★

It took more than two years for the Emancipation Proclamation to be fully enforced. On June 19, 1865, freedom finally reached the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas.

Today, we celebrate that freedom and honor the resilience of all who endured slavery throughout U.S. history.
