TGIF!
THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY! And thank God for actual fall days!
"When something bad happens you have three choices. You can either let it define you, let it destroy you, or let it strengthen you." (Dr. Seuss)
I was talking with my co-worker, Scott, yesterday, and I actually said the words that I think I am stronger now than I have been for years. Physically I am getting around better than I ever have. My weight is down, not skinny by any means, but better than it has been in a long time. My blood pressure is good and my A1C is excellent. And I am trying my best to have a positive attitude. I have been thru a lot in the last couple of years. But to be honest I have not endured this adventure on my own. You have been with me every step of the way, literally. You have been with me in prayer during hospital visits, rehab and laying in the bed for months at a time. I have been alone but never felt alone. I have felt the strength of your prayers and your support and encouragement with each step. I say each step because that is how I have gotten to where I am now. One step at a time. Each day trying to go a step farther than I did the day before. I am hoping that 2026 is going to be a hospital free year. Just a few months to go but I am feeling strong. I have not had a hospital free year since 2022. I have worked harder in the last couple years than I ever have in my life. And that is just fine. I wanted to do this for myself but there was no way I going to let you down. I didn't want your prayers and efforts to ever feel like they were a waste. They were not. They truly carried me thru. I want you to know that my gratitude is never ending. I want you to also know that my love for you has to do with who you are as a person and not just for what you have given to me. Please know that I loved you before my adventure started. It was your love that made sure I got thru it all. It was God knowing just who and what I needed before any of us had a clue. Just as it should be. So just know that on this 9th day of October - you are loved. I love you so much.
Always love - the Stump Muffin Johnny Wambles
