Tomorrow at Quirks NY, we're putting this question to two insights leaders live:

What's the bigger risk in 2026: being too slow, or being fast but shallow?

Lumeng Jin and Liz Riley Raukohl don't agree. Come find out where the line is.

Every insights team has AI now, which makes them faster. But the real question is what that speed is for: does it earn you a seat at the decision table, or just produce the same overlooked slides faster?

At The Quirk's Event – New York next Thursday, we're bringing together Lumeng Jin (Agile Innovation Insights, Sr. Manager, Mars) and Liz Riley Raukohl (Insights Director, OLLY) to dig into it. Moderated by our own Betsy Shaak, VP of Product, Voxpopme.

Real problems. Hot takes. No product pitch. See you at the Javits Center. 9:45 - 10:15 am. Room 3.

Every good story has the same structure.

You introduce the characters and the problem they face. You show how they deal with it. You describe the resolution.

Research deliverables work the same way. But most of them skip straight to the resolution, dumping findings without building the context that makes those findings land.

This ebook borrows from classic storytelling to help you build better research presentations. It covers how to structure your narrative in three acts, how to select video clips that are engaging, succinct, and representative, and how to arrange your showreel so it starts strong and ends stronger.

It also gets into the practical details: text slide design, font consistency, clip length (15 to 20 seconds is the sweet spot), and how to layer in quant data visuals alongside video.

If you want your research to be the kind people talk about after the meeting, not just during it, this is a good place to start.

Truth is, we're all leaning on AI assistants more each day.

But ask them a question about your customers, and you get public data.

A best guess, averaged out. Not what your customers actually said.

We're running a live session on how to change that. Because most decisions benefit from the voice of the customer.

Connect Voxpopme to Claude, ChatGPT, or Teams, and your AI assistant answers from your own research instead, with the customer video to back it up.

Ask something you haven't studied yet, and it launches a new study in the same chat.

We'll show you how. Live and direct. Next week.

For most research leaders, AI assistants have quietly become part of how you work.

Shaping the discussion guide, pressure-testing a hypothesis, scoping the next study.

Useful, until the questions turn to your customers.

Because tools like Claude and ChatGPT answer from general knowledge. A best guess, averaged out. Not what your customers actually said.

What if your AI assistant answered from your own research instead?
Now it can.

Today we launched the Voxpopme MCP — connecting your customer research to Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible assistant.

Ask in plain language, and the answer comes back grounded in real customer truth, with a link to the video clip behind every point. Not a paraphrase. The customer, saying it.

And when no study covers the question yet? Your assistant helps you launch new video research without leaving the chat.
It's live now.

59% of senior executives say when text and video are available on the same topic, they choose video.

Think about that in the context of research presentations.

You've got hours of real consumers explaining what they think, feel, and experience. But if your deliverable is a 40-slide deck with bullet points summarizing what those people said, you've translated emotion into spreadsheet language. And your audience can feel the difference.

Now imagine opening your next debrief with a 15-second clip of a consumer describing their frustration. The room goes quiet. People lean in. Everything you present after that has weight behind it.

That's the shift this ebook helps you make.

"Sharing Consumer Stories for Maximum Impact" covers how to select the right clips, structure your narrative, and build showreels that make decision-makers feel what consumers are saying, not just hear about it.

You spent weeks on the research.

The analysis was sharp. The findings were clear. The debrief went fine.

And then... nothing happened.

Nobody made a decision differently. Nobody referenced the study in the next meeting. The deck got filed somewhere in SharePoint and quietly disappeared.

This isn't a research quality problem. It's a storytelling problem.

The best insight in the world doesn't matter if it doesn't move the people who need to act on it. And moving people requires more than bullet points and bar charts. It requires structure, emotion, and the voice of real consumers in the room.

Our free ebook, "Sharing Consumer Stories for Maximum Impact," walks through how to turn video feedback into a narrative your stakeholders will remember and act on. From clip selection to showreel design to classic storytelling structure.

2 days to go.

Before consumers decide to order something at your restaurant, they're now running it through a mental 4-part test:

1️⃣ Is the portion fair for the price?
2️⃣ Can I find a deal that brings the cost down?
3️⃣ Is this something I could just make at home?
4️⃣ Does the experience justify the premium?

Fail any one of these, and they're trading down. Or staying home.

This is one of the frameworks from our latest consumer research, which we're unpacking in The Consumer Blueprint: Restaurants on July 1st.

Free. 30 minutes. Worth your time if you work in restaurant brand, marketing, insights, or operations.
