Every business has a different audience, so matching a website design with their brand and their target customers is always a fun challenge. I love that every project is different!

Moxie.✨

When my good friend, Abby, approached me about helping her create a logo and website for her new business, she told me the name: Salt + Moxie Co.

Little did she know that a few months prior, another friend had been reading a book about "Moxie". I was tiptoeing through her thoughts as she read it, so she sent me a copy.

I think God knew I needed some moxie in my life and used these sweet friends to remind me that we can be humble, gentle, empathetic...AND full of moxie.

I know I can come across as confident and self-assured, but I definitely struggle with imposter syndrome and developing a thicker skin. I question everything in life, including myself.

Thank you, Abby, for giving me the honor of helping you share your passion with the world! It truly brings me so much joy to help other people while doing what I love.

Also, a big thank you to Jill Whaley for always helping behind the scenes to make sure each website build matches our client's vision. You're so easy to work with and you do great work.

Here's to women who build up other women, love their families, and serve their communities. May we all be women with a lot of salt and a little bit of moxie.

Everyone fails.🙅🏼‍♀️

Some days, weeks, and seasons are harder than others. This week was like that for me. Life is good, but I just wasn’t “feeling it” on a few projects. Designer block is a real thing. 🥴

Sometimes, I keep designing. Other times I shift focus and come back to it later. I’m still figuring out what works for me.

Use this tutorial to determine the best image formats and sizes for your website and print projects so your message comes across clearly.

What is the best format and size for your images on the web? Here is a quick cheat sheet for you:

Format:
✅Use JPEG files for photos.
✅Use PNG files for illustrations.
✅A SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) is an excellent choice for displaying two-dimensional graphics, charts, and illustrations on websites. Plus, a vector file scales easily while keeping its resolution sharp!

Size:
✏️Use SVG or compressed JPEG or PNG images that are no bigger than 200 KB.
✏️Typical images should have a max width of 800 pixels.
✏️For full-screen background images, aim for 1,500 pixels to 2,000 pixels.
