Built for a bourbon enthusiast, the stone-washed 15N20 blade is cradled by a handle made of an oak bourbon barrel stave, torched to reflect a toasted barrel with copper pins and liner (an homage to classic copper stills).

CannonFire Forge Friends and followers - stay tuned, because in the next week and a half, I will be finishing up three all new, completely custom knives.

As many of you know, I don’t do production knives. I make individualized knives custom designed and built in consultation with the customer, so that each and every knife is unique and meaningful to the client.

There are a lot of semi-custom knives out there where you might get to choose options from drop-down lists, but when I make a knife with you, you will have as much input as you like in the design, backed by recommendations based on my knowledge, experience, and a touch of my own artistic style.

So stay tuned and watch for the new drops!

CannonFire Forge has a big announcement:

I just recently added a professional-grade heat treating kiln to my shop, which allows me to do professional-grade controlled heat treatments.
This includes stainless and boutique “super-steels”.
So yes, I can now make a blade out of CPM Magnacut, if that is your flavor, or a 440C stainless bird and trout knife, or if you like D2 steel, I can do that too.

I can also do high-performance carbon steel, san mai, damascus, cu-mai or anything else that strikes your fancy

My page is CannonFireForge, but I am also planning to make my own website in the fall. Anything from hand-forged axes to swords to tactical/kitchen/hunting/camping knives I can now do with reliable and professional heat treating.

And I ask you all to spread the word that you “have a guy” in the custom blade making industry.

I am now taking orders for the holidays for special blades gifts. Lead times are currently 6-8 weeks for custom work or less for semi-custom or off-the-shelf blades.

Get your orders in early, because if last year is any indicator, I expect that I will stop taking custom Christmas/holiday orders by the end of October so that I can ensure all orders are fulfilled in time for the holidays.
