There are stories from September 11 that deserve to keep being told. 🇺🇸

With thousands trapped in Lower Manhattan, a call went out: “All available boats.”

And they came.

Ferries, tugboats, charter boats and private vessels carried hundreds of thousands of people to safety in what became the largest waterborne evacuation in American history.

Ordinary people saw a need and simply said, “I can help.”

Twenty-five years later, that’s something worth remembering.

In one of America’s darkest moments, humanity showed up.

🐾 Sometimes the best kind of medicine has four paws, a wet nose, and wags its tail. 🐾

Pensacola Eggfest has given $30,000 to the Sacred Paws Pensacola Facility Dog Program at Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart.

And that money is turning into something pretty awesome: comfort for children when they need it most. ❤️

Because when a Sacred Paws dog walks into a hospital room, things change.

A nervous child smiles.
A worried parent gets a moment to breathe.
A difficult day suddenly feels a little lighter.
And for a few minutes, a child can forget they're in a hospital and be a kid.

We love seeing the good that happens when Pensacola comes together, and this is a beautiful example of how a fun community event can create an impact that lasts far beyond the day itself.
