Marvi mentioned how she’s been afraid to put herself out there but she’s done doing that and I agree with her that this will be her year!! it's small business week (and the whole month, but anyways), I want to do something hexing cool for our fellow small business owners. i'm opening a pay-what-you-can opportunity for ONE small business, (maybe two if there's one I just can't turn away), to work with What the Hex Design Studio on a branding or web project at a price that works for where you are right now.

this is not a random drawing, but a carefully considered application process.

i'm looking for a business or individual who
> will truly benefit from my strategic insight & design work
> has a story or business model that resonates with me
> a brand or individual that truly needs help
> someone who doesn't want to resort to AI or Canva for cost-cutting reasons
> someone who is dedicated and ready to emotionally invest in their business

while this is a pay-what-you-can model, the minimum prices are as follows: $350 for basic branding, $800 for basic website, and $1,000 for branding & web combo. you decide what you can, if you can, bring anymore than that and we'll figure out the rest together.

My biggest insecurity in my business might surprise you; it’s not my design work because damnnnnn I’m good 😉✌️ but it’s how I actually get work done.

When I quit my full-time job to dive headfirst into entrepreneurship, I struggled with staying on task. My brain would try and get me to do everything else instead of get work done. It lead to not meeting deadlines, constant stress, and pulling all-nighters just trying to catch up.

I found that working where people can see me does wonders for keeping me on task. For awhile, that’s looked like sitting on FaceTime with friends, spending all day at coffee shops, and even filming Timelapse videos of me working.

Deep down I knew I wasn’t the only one out there struggling to stay on task. Which is exactly why I started virtual co-working sessions! There’s no pressure, just one hour of deep, quiet focus where we try and knock out our biggest tasks. I host these every week, alternating between morning and afternoon sessions. I’m so excited to finally post the brand identity for . This has been one of my favorite projects to this date and I can’t believe I haven’t shared it here yet! 💚

Hungry hollow is a community food truck park experience in Austin, TX that offers a beautiful outdoor area to eat, drink, shop, and play for the whole family. If you’re in the Austin area, I highly recommend checking out what Hungry Hollow has to offer! :)

WTH IS UP?? Let’s take a quick look at my Wednesday as a graphic design business owner and mother to a radical toddler. I spent the day drinking a lot of caffeine, working on internal systems, printing & cutting flyers a colleague made, and lots of networking with dear friends I’ve made on this journey so far.

My first year flying solo full-time, and honestly? I wouldn't trade it for anything.

730 coffees (at least), 450 Diet Cokes, 30 breakdowns, and 10,000 "final" files later... I'm still here. Still creating. Still highly caffeinated.
