Having been a member for the past 5 years, served on numerous committees, and held leadership positions for the Peoria Women's Club, it was bittersweet to move to Louisville and step back from the projects and goals I had been a part of.

I'm still honored to do my part in helping them raise funds for the restoration of their theatre, including creating the graphics for their upcoming fundraiser The Gilded Gala. 140 years is quite the accomplishment for a woman's organization, and I can't wait to see what the next 140 years bring.

Walk through our doors and step back in time with us. For 140 years, the Peoria Women's Club has stood as a beacon of grace, ambition, and community, and this October, we invite you to celebrate that legacy in true Gilded Age splendor.

The Gilded Gala: 140 Years of Elegance is an evening of candlelight and crystal, of velvet and gold, where the spirit of the 1880s meets a century and a half of progress.

Silent since the 1970s, our historic stage once played host to performances, gatherings, and the everyday life of this community. Now, we are restoring it so it may once again welcome Peoria home.

For the first time this fall, step inside the Castle for a nighttime tour from our Castle ghosts this Halloween season. You'll haunt the halls, learn about the Castle's history, and encounter seasonal scenes set throughout the Castle, including unique artifacts that you can't find anywhere else in Central Illinois. ‍

Icons are one of the easiest ways to add pizzazz to your brand.

I use them to add visual interest on business cards, create custom bullet points on websites, break up and clarify copy, tell visual stories, build custom brand patterns for packaging, and more.

Yes, you can grab free icons online or through tools like Canva, but why not have your own custom set instead?

"I have a logo" and "I have a brand" are not the same sentence.

A complete visual identity suite includes variations of your logo built for different spaces with each one doing a specific job so your brand scales instead of getting squished, cropped, or repeated into the ground.

These are just a couple of the many questions that are part of my strategy session and questionnaire for every client BEFORE we even get to dive in to visuals.

Whether you're just launching a business or refreshing your existing brand, it's so important to think beyond what "looks good".

Use these questions as a starting point to think strategically about how your brand and business can work together.

Your website should look good AND function well on every single device out there, but the two primary ones are Desktop and Mobile.

And with how many users are on social media these days, Mobile is oftentimes the ONLY device that people use to visit websites.

At the end of the day, your visitors will of course get the full experience of everything your site has to offer on desktop, but they get the most streamlined version on mobile.

So make sure your site is doing what it needs to do on those two devices and the rest will fall into place nicely.
