In the realm of the National Parks, there's a common misconception that they're all about wilderness. But let's set the record straight -- they're not. They contain history, stories, and a personal connection to the people who bring them to life.

Take King's Mountain National Military Park, for instance. It's not just a park; it's a Revolutionary War battle site. It's a place where history was written, where heroes were created and defeated. And at the heart of sites like these, you'll find the visitor center.

Now, the visitor center isn't just a building. It's a time machine. Step inside, and you're transported back to the days of the Revolution. The air is thick with tales of bravery, of battles won and lost. And the custodians of these stories? The park rangers.

These aren't your average tour guides. They're historians, storytellers, enthusiasts. They're the kind of folks who can turn a casual visit into an unforgettable journey through time. Their knowledge is vast, their passion is infectious, and their dedication is nothing short of inspiring.

So next time you're at a National Park, make a beeline for the visitor center. Trust me, it's worth it. Because in the end, it's not just about the places we visit, but the people we meet along the way.

Greetings from the historic Waxhaws Battlefield in Lancaster County, South Carolina! 📸 This trip, courtesy of ONSA Travel, has been a journey back in time, tracing the footsteps of the brave Continental Soldiers who fought here during the Revolutionary War.

In these pictures, you can see the mass grave where an unknown number of our soldiers rest. Each one of them played a part in shaping the history of this great nation, their sacrifice a testament to their courage and dedication.

This battlefield is also known for the infamous “Tarleton’s Quarter” -- a term coined after British Colonel Banastre Tarleton and his Loyalist troops continued to attack the Patriots even after their surrender. This brutal act stirred up anti-British sentiment throughout the colonies, stimulating more resistance and ultimately contributing to the Continental victory in the Revolution.

Chicago, the city of broad shoulders, the city that works, the city that never sleeps. It's a city that's always moving, always changing, always surprising.

There a sense of connection, of belonging, of being part of something bigger than our self. It is a feeling of being alive, truly alive, in a way that only a city like Chicago can make you feel.

This is Bolivia's Salar de Uyuni, but don't worry, that's not a UFO. Photographer Reuben Wu took a week-long road trip through Bolivia and created several of his signature aeroglyphs—glowing geometric shapes that float mysteriously in the sky. Wu draws the aeroglyphs by piloting LED-equipped drones in precise patterns while keeping his shutter open to create a long exposure. -
Stretching across more than 4,000 square miles of South America's Altiplano (high plain), Salar de Uyuni (literally, the salts of Uyuni, the nearest town) is the world's largest salt flat, a nearly featureless white landscape left behind by the evaporation of prehistoric lakes.
