This week for Meet The Board Monday, we're proud to highlight Kristen Savoie!

As a lifelong Perry resident, Kristen's commitment to this community runs deep. Inspired by the example of her grandfather, who dedicated himself to making Perry a better place, she has always felt a calling to give back in a meaningful way.

Kristen was drawn to the Chamber because she saw an organization focused on inclusion, progress, and creating opportunities for everyone. She believes communities thrive when people feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to pursue their ideas and dreams.

With a passion for helping others succeed, Kristen enjoys connecting people with opportunities, supporting local businesses, and showcasing everything that makes Perry special. She believes growth happens when communities embrace new ideas while building on the strengths that already exist.

The Perry Chamber of Commerce believes it is important to keep our business community informed on legislation and state questions that may directly impact local employers, economic development, and the overall business climate in Oklahoma.
State Question 832 is one such issue.

While we recognize that conversations surrounding minimum wage are important and that wage growth is a valid topic for discussion, many Oklahoma businesses have also expressed concerns about the structure and potential economic impact of SQ 832, particularly for small businesses operating on tight margins.

As part of our mission to support and advocate for local businesses, we are sharing information provided by the Oklahoma State Chamber regarding State Question 832. This resource outlines concerns and potential impacts the measure could have on employers across the state.

We encourage our members and community to review the information, stay informed, and make a plan to vote.

The Oklahoma State Chamber has taken a position opposing SQ 832, and after reviewing the information provided, we encourage our members to carefully consider those concerns when casting their vote.
