Which one is the Einkorn Flour?

Trick question—they both are but the one on the right is our redesign for Jovial's Whole Wheat Einkorn Flour! We spotted the old and new packaging on the shelf together and were pleased to see how much better the new design communicates at retail. The primary goal in this redesign was to make it obvious that this is Einkorn, not your typical flour. The second goal was to convey the advantages of this easy-to-digest ancient grain. Please help us welcome the latest addition to our Truly family, senior designer Jasmine Ge**er. Jasmine’s passion for branding and package design began at the Academy of Art where she earned a BA in Graphic Design, and led to the start of her career at the legendary Primo Angeli agency in San Francisco. In the years since then Jasmine worked independently for a variety of CPG brands including Mary’s Gone Crackers and Three Twins Ice Cream. From her experience developing startups into nationwide brands, Jasmine personally knows what it takes at every phase of brand growth and embraces it. Outside of work Jasmine loves sailing and is endlessly inspired by fine art and fashion.

Three things that might surprise you about Jasmine…
🇦🇹 She was born in Austria
⛵️ She lived on a sailboat for 2 years
🧆 She makes an awesome falafel from scratch

We returned today from our company retreat at the top of Mount Tamalpais feeling refreshed and inspired. There’s nothing quite like traveling through the forest and waking up above the clouds. Many thanks to West Point Inn for providing the perfect setting, to our clients for their flexibility while we were away, and to our team members for being up for the trek (especially Maria, who hiked in all the way from Kentucky 😉)

Every brand has a story to tell. One of the most exciting parts of our work is shaping how our clients visually and emotionally communicate their story through packaging. This week, the US celebrates National Farmer’s Day, and we want to recognize our client Farmer Focus. We feel privileged to work with such an impactful company, to be trusted with telling their story, and to witness their growth over the years. They go beyond producing humanely raised organic chicken, with active efforts supporting generational family farming, sustainability, and fair pay. So if you’re near the East Coast, pick up some wholesome Farmer Focus chicken this week… and for the rest of us, don’t forget to thank your local farmers!

Happy 1st Birthday to our most mischievous satellite office mates, Pickles (tortoiseshell) & Buttons (black and white)! Birthday activities will include burrowing in the recycling bin, strolling across the keyboard, knocking pens off the desk, and stealing the office chair! We love Take Your Dog to Work Day so mutts! Here is our four legged furry friend Elfi, hard at work spreading joy. She’s keeping us on track and making sure we’re working like a dog. When you bring your best friend to work, you know it’s going to be a dog gone good day. 🐶

It’s always a good idea to step back from computer screens once in a while. Emma, our resident yarnaholic, frequently uses knitting, crochet, and punch needle as an after-hours creative outlet and a way to digitally detox from the day. So whether you currently dabble in yarn crafts or have always thought about picking up a pair of knitting needles, Saturday, June 11th is World Wide Knit in Public Day! Grab some much needed vitamin D and channel it into your creative pursuits (whatever they may be) this weekend!
