Traditional SEO

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)

Stop obsessing over follower count. Start paying attention to the right numbers. 👀

One of the biggest social media myths is that you need thousands of followers to make an impact.

Looking at one of our client’s Instagram insights over the last 90 days, they reached nearly 7,000 accounts, generated almost 17,000 views, and more than 64% of those views came from people who don’t even follow them.

That’s the power of creating content that reaches beyond your current audience.

Another interesting takeaway? Reels reached about 6,500 views while regular posts generated about 5,000 views. Reels are important, but this data is a great reminder that quality content matters more than chasing trends. Well-written posts, strong photos, and valuable information can still perform.

The goal isn’t to attract everyone.

The goal is to attract the RIGHT people.

For this client, we’d rather see 500 engaged followers who love the client content and are ready to use the clients services rather than 50,000 followers who never take action.

👉Pay attention to your data.
👉Learn what’s working.
👉Create more of it.

Hot take 🔥 Hashtags are not the Instagram growth strategy they once were.

Instagram now pays far more attention to keywords, content relevance, watch time, shares, saves, and engagement than hashtag stuffing. That’s why we do not make hashtags a major part of our strategy.

BUT… if you still want to use them, here’s our advice

✔ Keep it to a small handful of relevant hashtags
✔ Use niche or location-based hashtags if they actually make sense
✔ Match hashtags to the content topic

Avoid:
❌ Dumping 20 to 30 random hashtags on every post
❌ Using generic hashtags like
❌ Copy and pasting the same hashtag block over and over
❌ Thinking hashtags will fix weak content

Bottom line? Strong content, searchable keywords, and engagement matter far more. Hashtags should be the side dish, not the main course. 😉

This amazing event raised approximately $16,000, served 564 meals, and brought together 40 Rotary members and 8 STRIVE students to make it all happen.

Community events like this are what make Northern Michigan so special, and we’re honored to support organizations creating real impact. Huge congratulations to Rotary, its members, and everyone in the community who showed up, volunteered, and enjoyed a great meal for a great cause.
