Hello everyone! If you’re new here, let me introduce myself.
My name is Adniel Avendaño, and I started screen printing about 15 years ago in Vineland Nj with a simple one-color press. Back then, it was just a hobby.
After moving to Philadelphia, I bought my first 4-color, 1-station silver press from , and my passion for screen printing started growing fast. I met many new people in the city and kept saving money to upgrade my equipment while learning English and teaching myself how to print through YouTube videos.
Eventually, I saved enough to buy a brand-new 4-color, 4-station press with micro registration. At the time, I wasn’t very confident because my old equipment only allowed me to print simple one-color designs.
During that time, I met He was new to the city and started hiring me to print shirts for him, and we became good friends. In 2016, i convinced him to start a print studio together where we could split the rent while still running our own separate projects.
For four years, I worked two jobs — construction from 6 AM to 5 PM, and screen printing from 6 PM to 10 PM as a side hustle. In August 2019, I finally decided to quit my main job and become a full-time screen printer.
The first few months went great, but then 2020 came and changed everything. That difficult time taught me a lot, especially while printing for my new brand, .
In 2021, when things became difficult, I invited Eric to become part of latziyela. Finally, in 2025, Latziyela officially became an LLC.
