Over the past six months, I’ve had the opportunity to coach a small-business founder through the strategy of launching and growing her business, and this week, we wrapped up our coaching series.
Our work went far beyond “how to market a business.” We focused on building a practical strategy designed to drive sales, capture market share, and create manageable growth tied to measurable business outcomes.
Throughout the six months, we covered:
• Leading with the customer pain point: making the initial pitch about the problem you solve and creating a compelling reason for someone to say yes.
• Defining the target audience: getting specific about who you’re trying to reach so your messaging, marketing, and sales efforts aren't trying to be everything to everyone.
• Finding your unique value proposition: identifying what differentiates you in the marketplace and learning how to translate that value based on what matters most to your target audience.
• Using social media to win market share: moving beyond simply “posting” and thinking strategically about how content can build awareness, establish credibility, differentiate the business, and ultimately create demand.
Most importantly, we tied it all back to the business.
The goal wasn't to chase followers, likes or vanity metrics. It was to create a manageable growth strategy with clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and a direct connection to sales.
One of my favorite parts of coaching is helping entrepreneurs turn a great idea into a strategy they can actually execute and measure.
I'm excited to see her take everything we've built together and put it into action!
