As a social media manager, I use every single one of these apps on a daily basis. Here’s a little bit about what they do for me:

❋ Canva: Without Canva, I’d be LOST. This is where I create all of my social media graphics for IG, Reels covers, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

❋ Inshot: The ultimate video editing app. This is where I create all of my Reels, TikToks, IGTVS, and Youtube videos. It’s super inexpensive and easy to use.

❋ Milkshake: FREE and convenient platform for every Instagram business. An easy and customizable way to put external links in your bio.

❋ Unsplash: My favorite free stock photo website. Images for all different brand aesthetics!

❋ monday.com: My master social media calendar. Monday allows you to categorize, organize, and visualize all the tasks that need to be completed.

❋ Later: Social media scheduling tool. The best way to physically see what your feed will look like before posting. Auto-post to any platform.

STEAL MY CONTENT IDEAS 💡

If you’re struggling to come up with social media content ideas, try using my suggestions below. These content ideas are suitable for 𝙖𝙣𝙮 business or industry.

1️⃣ Share about your business & FAQ posts. Make it clear 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 and 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤. I recommend creating a highlight and saving this information to it.

2️⃣ Meet the team and behind the scene posts. Let your followers meet the people behind the business. Be authentic and earn your customers’ trust.

3️⃣ Customer testimonials and success stories. Asks clients for a brief review of their experience with you and use it to build credibility. Share your proudest moments.

4️⃣ Your go-to business tools and resources. These tools may be tangible, digital, physical, etc. Share the resources you rely on to be successful day-to-day.

5️⃣ Share solutions to problems your customers may have. What problem does your business solve? What (free) solutions can you provide to people?

The most common thing brands say before working together is, “I don’t know what to post on social media.”

Content pillars are key to creating a successful social media strategy. They are the topics that your social media content will focus on, and they all have very 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙨.

Today I walk you through step-by-step how to create content pillars for your business.

1️⃣ Identify your business goals. Write down 3-5 goals and ways that you can achieve them.

2️⃣ Research your target audience. What are their wants and needs? What solutions will you offer them?

3️⃣ Determine 3-5 ways you can bring value to your followers. (Examples: Educate, Motivate, Promote, Engage, etc.)

4️⃣ Use your content pillars to create specific content ideas for each category.

Example:
Educate
* Valuable information/facts about your industry
* Tips & Hacks
* Tutorials

With content pillars, you’ll 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 know what to post on social media.

REMINDER: Don’t let working from home become living at work. 👩🏻‍💻

If you work from home and struggle with setting boundaries for yourself — you’re not alone.

I’ve been working remotely ever since I entered the work force a little over three months ago, and in the beginning, my brain never shut off.

I would start working before 8 AM in hopes of finishing everything that wanted to accomplish earlier in the day. In reality, new tasks would get in the way, and my days only grew longer.

I was only able to start setting boundaries and fully separating my home and work life when I decided it was time for a change of scenery.

Whether it be going downstairs to my apartment lobby, to a local library, or coffee shop — leaving my small apartment has given me the ability to compartmentalize my life in a new way.
