Taking a moment to celebrate some recent media wins! 👏
Cheyney University of Pennsylvania was featured in Delaware County Daily Times following its announcement that Fred Reynolds has been named Director of Athletics. The coverage positioned Reynolds’ appointment as part of a larger period of momentum for Cheyney athletics, student success, alumni engagement and institutional growth. We supported the announcement by helping shape the message around Reynolds’ leadership, Cheyney’s investment in Wolf Athletics and the university’s continued growth as the nation’s first HBCU.
Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia Executive Director Paul Steinke had a letter to the editor published in The Philadelphia Inquirer in response to public discussion around the proposed demolition of the William Way LGBT Community Center’s longtime home. The letter reinforced the Alliance’s position that the future of the building should not be treated as a choice between affordable housing and LGBTQ+ history, and called for reuse options, public review and community input before any irreversible decisions are made. We supported the Alliance by helping draft and place the letter to the editor as well as building on Inga Saffron’s column and the organization’s broader advocacy around historic preservation, adaptive reuse and community voice.
Chester Housing Authority received great KYW Newsradio coverage for the Chester E-Health Center, with the story airing more than 20 times between Aug. 20 and Aug. 21. The coverage highlighted the center’s planned role in expanding access to telehealth support, computer classes, health education and community-based services for Chester residents. We supported the rollout by helping prepare and distribute the release, coordinating the KYW interview and packaging the resulting coverage for the client.
