When I first started my business, I never imagined that in my 30s I would be able to say:
I’ve been in business for years.
I’ve spent almost a decade in this industry, learning, growing, failing, rebuilding, and showing up again.

And honestly, there is only one reason for that:

Yalda is the longest night of the year — a moment woven deeply into Persian culture. It’s the night we celebrate that one extra minute of life, light, and possibility as winter begins.❄️🍉♥️✨

Rooted in ancient Persian history, Yalda dates back thousands of years to Zoroastrian times. It was believed that on this night, darkness was at its peak — and so families stayed awake together, sharing stories, poetry, warmth, and food to welcome the victory of light at dawn. 🌟

We gather with loved ones, read our favorite poet Hafez, and fill the night with meaning. 🍉

Yalda is more than a tradition — it’s a bridge between history and today, a reminder that even in the longest darkness, light always returns. ✨🌙

How I thought owning a your business would look like:
✨ Nonstop fun events, creative shoots, pretty moments, glam days…
(And trust me, those moments do happen… just not as often as I imagined.)

But here’s the real story:
I spend most days — actually seven days a week —
sitting in front of my monitor…
planning, strategizing, editing, creating,
bringing brands to life one deadline at a time.

And the crazy part?
I love it. 😌💙

From one small business… to all the dreamers building theirs.

I built Marketing and More By G based on one love —
love for small businesses.

Not just the polished storefronts or the perfect Instagram grids…
but the late nights, the scribbled ideas, the messy drafts, the “I hope this works,”
and the brave hearts behind every brand.

I started this company because I knew exactly what it felt like
to build something out of nothing.
To bet on yourself when it doesn’t make sense.
To find strength in the quiet moments when no one is watching.
To run a business while carrying real life, real responsibilities, real challenges.

And because of that, I promised myself one thing:
I will always show up for small businesses the way I wish someone had shown up for me.

Today, on Small Business Saturday, I’m celebrating every single one of you —
the makers, the builders, the creators, the fighters,
the people who turn ideas into impact.

These days, I’m living two lives… maybe even three.
I’m a wife and a daughter handling everyday life.
I’m a business owner running nonstop.
And I’m a woman living her dream working for Meta.

How do I manage it?
I work until 3 AM most nights — and honestly, I’m not sad about it. Turning 30 this year reminded me that my thirties are for running marathons, not settling … for chasing the goals I’ve carried for years.

Don’t blame me — I know I need a l work/life balance.
But maybe later.
Right now, it’s time to run.

Cheers to long days and even longer nights.
May every one of these goals become real.
