I don’t think it’s any particular secret that green is one of my favorite colors.

My first car was forest green, my childhood bedroom was painted neon green, my favorite color to wear is army green...the list goes on.

So in honor of my favorite color, I thought we’d dive into a bit of color theory. This is something most designers study throughout their career, but for any non-designers — color theory is essentially how individuals interact with and respond to certain colors.

In branding, color is almost always used to elicit certain emotions. Blue represents security and trust, yellow conveys youthfulness, and so on.

Green — in my opinion — is a super special color. While there are some negative connotations (like being green with jealousy), green is also an overwhelmingly positive color. It represents growth & abundance. It is deeply rooted in nature, and connection to the earth. It’s the root of life & all that grows from it.

From greenhouses to green juices, it’s a color that overall represents nourishment, tranquility, growth, and abundance.

Summertime studio update!

Lots of fun things have been happening at Refined Studios behind the scenes this summer — so I figured I’d take this chill Sunday afternoon to let you all know what I’ve been working on.

✖️Template Shop ✖️

Probably one of my biggest focuses of the summer has been my template shop. I released my first template freebie about a year ago — when my planning for the template shop first really kicked off.

I’ve been working on and off of this ever since, but have been grateful to find the time to really sit down and get to work this summer!

I’m still working through my first full set of templates I plan to launch the shop with....but if you search hard enough on Etsy you may be able to find 1 or 2 templates of mine up for sale 😉

✖️New Service✖️

Next up is new services! I’ve been toying with the idea of one or two new services as a way to help more business owners get to market faster — cue the Week to Launch Website Package.

While I’m not yet opening my books for these projects, I plan on accepting new clients for these projects in September! If this is something you might be interested in, DM me! I’m holding a few earlier spots for beta / trial runs of this new setup.

And finally (this is one I’ve been talking about forever), a new website to house all of the initiatives I’ve been working on!

This has been in the works for...forever, but I’m excited as the other aspects of my services & products come together they’ll have a unique place to live online!

Lots of this work will continue to happen off social media — but I’m excited to continue to update you all with more as these new offerings & services roll out!

HONORED is an affordable luxury jewelry brand, specializing is gold filled jewelry for the modern, powerful woman. Refined Studios partnered with HONORED on their branding, with the full website launch coming late 2020.

The new Refined Studios site is live! ✨✨

I’m so excited to finally share this with the world! It’s been a few months in the making, heavily fueled by iced coffee mornings and white wine evenings. Link in bio to check it out!

While any new site is worth celebrating, I’m really just excited for all that is to come! I have a really exciting collab announcement coming next week with .alsulaiman and am already making plans to expand the bundle of social media templates I released earlier this week.

Also, making this an EXTRA proud moment, this is my first site after being a lifelong . It didn’t come without its challenges, but I’m so happy to have these two platforms in my wheelhouse 💪🏼

And for now I’m going to celebrate all weekend, and then right back to work Monday! 🥂
