Maven Communications Results-driven public relations, social media, content marketing & issues management. mavenagency.com Crisis Management: What keeps you up at night?

Public Relations: The world of communications and PR has changed. Mass media and trade media relations, sponsorships, corporate blogs, social networks, Twitter, Google, YouTube and mobile are all part of the game now. Today’s oversaturated market requires a PR team that realizes these are no longer separate channels, but part of an integrated strategy that helps you stand out, speak up, educate an

d inspire. It’s about communicating the right message to the right audience so you can break through the clutter and deliver real marketing ROI. Corporate Communications: Effective corporate communications helps organizations explain their mission, vision and values in a cohesive message to employees and stakeholders. At Maven, we understand that a successful corporate communications program considers both the internal and external messages in order to create a common strategic framework. Internally, our team works closely with your organization to create campaigns that address communication gaps, improve collaboration between managers and employees and encourage engagement to drive better business outcomes. Externally, our team works to help shape your target audience’s perception of your organization’s brand, image and reputation for improved results and stronger relationships with key constituents. In times of crisis, Maven has always believed that the best offense is a good defense. And no, that defense does not mean shutting off the lights and pretending no one is home. From criminal investigations and food contaminations to real estate development and corporate mergers, our crisis team has the experience necessary to ensure your reputation remains intact. Our approach includes an integrated 360 degree view of potential issues, risks, tools and communications channels, including how to manage and respond to crises online. Social Media Strategies: Social media has forever changed the way we communicate with companies and brands. Today, anyone with a mobile phone or internet access can impact sales, influence change and make or break company reputations. To harness the power of this growing medium, you need more than an intern and a page. You need measurable goals and an actionable plan. Whether it’s creating thought leaders, promoting new products, building brand evangelists or driving sales, we help companies create a social media strategy that helps achieve their business objectives. Our analytics-driven approach means we measure real results, not made-up-metrics. Our team walks you through every step of the process to ensure your company has the tools it needs to succeed in today’s social landscape, including:

- Content Strategy and Editorial Development
- Best Practices Coaching and Audience Building
- Competitive Assessment and Platform Identification
- Crisis Management and Response

Fear isn't a strategy. For nonprofit leaders, communications can no longer be an afterthought in a landscape defined by political scrutiny, funding volatility, and AI-shaped narratives.

Drawing on insights from the 2025 Nonprofit Directors Dialogue at the Barnes Foundation, Jessica Sharp outlines that communication is now core governance work, not a downstream tactic. A quality narrative can strengthen trust, sharpen mission clarity, and position organizations to lead rather than react.

Philadelphia City Commissioners has recruited over 500 new poll workers since the start of last month's campaign!

The Philadelphia City Commissioners aimed to recruit 250 new poll workers citywide in February, honoring the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The recruitment push was a resounding success ahead of the May 19 primary election. Of the new poll workers, more than 100 are high school students who applied via the city’s Involved at 17 program, which encourages 17-year-olds to serve as poll workers.

The results were reported at a press conference anouncing the launch of the Election Academy, a joint effort with Committee of Seventy to build transparency and trust in elections. The new initiative will help Philadelphians understand how elections work and how to participate with confidence.

The Election Academy will kick off with a March 21 event from 10:30 am to noon at the Philadelphia City Commissioners Warehouse (11311 Roosevelt Blvd.). Registered voters can sign up at seventy.org or by calling 215-557-3600. Participation is free.

Black History Month stands as a reminder that America's 250-year story is not complete without Black voices, leadership, and legacy.

Here in Philadelphia, preserving and elevating Black history has faced real challenges. These stories are essential to our city's history and collective progress. We remain committed to supporting Black voices and standing firmly against racism and systemic injustice, this month and every month.
