Powerful forces are continuously marketing the message that paper is dead, and that you must PAY RENT to keep your head in THEIR CLOUD. Notebooks remember it cheaper, better and longer (and private-er). Notebook Night is a chance to log off and scratch words/doodles on paper in a congenial dive bar. It's FREE, *and* using a random system, we give away a notebook every session, roughly an hour after the start. NoteBookNight is the first Wed. of every month (6:30 to 8-ish), at good ol' Doobies Bar , where the disputed borders of Southwest Center City Philadelphia, Lesser Fitler Square, Philadelphia , and Upper South of South Neighborhood Association meet, fidget, and make awkward small talk! At a time when powerful (and really effing annoying) forces are seeking to push all of our communications onto bits of electronic plastic, a hand-written postal piece has a special charm. Real Mail [tm] is human-powered, and takes you to just one place at a time, a bit like a bicycle, but less oily! (and please do note that McNally's Tavern Chestnut Hill is just a skip and a jump from the Chestnut Hill West SEPTA rail stop)
