Congratulations to Mt. Airy, USA (MAUSA), East Mt. Airy Neighbors (EMAN), West Mt. Airy Neighbors (WMAN), and all of their community partners!

All right! You might've seen it last night on Channel 6 Action News or NBC 10 Local News; you might've been there at Supper Sessions last night... but we're now ready and happy to announce that Mt. Airy, USA (MAUSA), along with our partners at East Mt. Airy Neighbors (EMAN) & West Mt. Airy Neighbors (WMAN), have received a $1 million Neighborhood Implementation Grant from Wells Fargo Regional Foundation (WFRF). The grant, to be allocated over the next five years, will put the Mt. Airy 2025 plan - which so many of you helped us craft - into action. Stay tuned for details - you'll be invited.

A very big thank you to all of you who came out last night. Left to right in this photo: WMAN President Vanessa Lowe, EMAN President (Little) Jimmie Reed, MAUSA Executive Director Brad Copeland, MAUSA President Howard Treatman, Councilman Derek Green, 8th District Councilwoman Cindy Bass, Planning and Development Director Anne Fadullon, WFRF Executive Director Denise McGregor Armbrister, Mayor Jim Kenney, and WFRF Vice President Kimberly Allen.

West Ward Neighborhood Revitalization Plan Work Begins

Urban Partners recently kicked off work on a neighborhood revitalization plan for the West Ward of Newark, NJ in coordination with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark. The Wells Fargo Regional Foundation-funded effort will result in a resident-driven identification and prioritization of strategies and activities to address the community’s identified needs. Urban Partners has significant experience with the expectations and requirements of the Wells Fargo Regional Foundation having, most recently, participated in Foundation-sponsored neighborhood plans in Southwest Lancaster, Coatesville and Philadelphia, PA.
